Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

I’m sorry. So, so sorry. We’re almost right there with you.

The news announcements, one after the other, just kept rolling in yesterday. We will again enter a new restrictive phase, albeit not a full lockdown, in less than 9 hours.
Oh no....didn't you JUST get OUT of lockdown? Are you going to be able to make your trip??

We had been planning to go to the zoo for my birthday last week, but then E had SO much homework and was completely stressed out, so we decided to postpone it until Christmas vacation....but now everything is closed. So no zoo trip. Guess we'll go in the spring instead. They said lockdown until at least Jan. 14th, but I doubt things will open up then. I think they'll do exactly what they did last year...lockdown the week before Christmas, and then keep extending the lockdown until Easter.

We’re nowhere near having to make any kind of decision about our trip. This wave will hopefully be over by then.

Our Buffalo-trip timing could not have been any better. Rules have changed since we got back just a short four days ago.

I’m sorry your zoo trip was delayed. That’s what I keep saying - “delayed”. Sounds so much better than “cancelled”.

Oh, I'm not cancelling it! We'll go, even if it's not until June! My husband asked me what I wanted for my birthday. I told him I wanted to go to the zoo. We haven't been there for a couple of years now, and all the restaurants and everything had to close by 5pm, so we couldn't go out to eat for my birthday, so I said instead of that, I wanted to go to the zoo. The kids had school on my birthday, so we were going to go last weekend instead, but then E had all the homework and such, and today was supposed to be my nephew's birthday celebration, but my BIL still has corona symptoms so that had to be canceled too, but we had planned to be there today, which meant E needed yesterday to do homework, so we couldn't go to the zoo then. So we decided to go in the Christmas vacation....it was only a couple weeks later. Best laid plans, right? So the zoo trip is supposed to be my birthday present...I'm not canceling it just because of a lockdown. I'll just have a REALLY late birthday present.

First ADR in the books! It's a non park day so we had to keep it to resort hotels (reservations not loaded yet) or DTD so we have (possibly temporarily) Naples Ristorante in DTD booked.
We are both going to have to adjust our sleep/wake cycle whilst in CA. 😂😂

Just an FYI for those who don’t know - most Disneyland ADR’s drop at 3:00 am EST. I’m up then anyway.

Good choice on Naples. When I was booking reservations for dining this summer the Downtown Disney restaurants were very slow to load their reservations. Some didn't drop any until about 30 days until I went. Disneyland owned ones were pretty slow and didn't always load at the time they were supposed to. Like WDW some of the non-Disney ones can be booked on their website or on Open Table. I had to book Ballast Point on their website.

Oga’s and Blue Bayou are the mission for tomorrow.

Good luck! I hope you get it. Personally I am more of a Cafe Orleans fan instead of a Blue Bayou fan. Blue Bayous food wasn't too great the last few times and if you don't get a seat near the water then it kind of kills it too.
Cafe Orleans is on the list as well. We are looking to experience everything so our sit downs will probably be apps/split a meal and then split a QS at some point in the day as well.
