I was very shy and felt ugly all of my teen years and wished that by some miracle I might wake up some morning and look like James Garner. He always seemed to be the perfect man, good looking, tough, but always calm in every situation, sure of himself, always had the right comeback for everything said to him and what I would imagine was an absolute chick magnet. Instead I was stuck with myself, the way I was, and tried to work on my self esteem. I was eventually completely surprised that over the years, going to High School reunions and sometimes meeting people that I didn't even know (underclassmen) randomly that a few had a crush on me when we were in school. If only I had known that just think about how different my life might have been. (sigh)

2-3 inches is 4-6 months. In 2020, each month has felt like an eternity!

I’m not sure Mrs. Lincoln got to see the end of the play.

Ugh....it's up around 100 degrees today. (37/38 Celsius) It's pretty miserable without AC. Even with the fan on, it's just too hot. I'm sure it's over 90 in my house, at least upstairs. Downstairs is a bit cooler, but I don't have a fan there. Someone have some cooler air they can blow this way, please? Thanks in advance.

Ok, so I don't know what rock I've been living under this past year, (it's not like there's some sort of global mess going on to keep our thoughts preoccupied ) but I have just recently learned that, not only will Chris Pratt & company be returning for the next Jurassic Park / World, (whatever it's called now) sequel... but Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum are all returning to reprise their roles from the original.




Apparently this has been well known for some time, I'm just late to the party on this one. Regardless, this news brings me joy.
According to Sam Neill, they will be more than just a brief cameo, but have significant roles in the upcoming sequel.

Again, joy all around with this piece of news.

You have my full sympathy. I'd much rather be hot outside than hot and stuffy indoors. The lesser of two evils. Hope you can get some AC air blasting inside your home soon.

No....they don't do AC here in homes. Some offices have it, and most stores, but AC just isn't a "thing" here because it's not considered necessary. It never used to get this hot here, and when it got warm, it was never for very long. But in the last 10 years or so, temps have been increasing....it gets hotter every year, and the heatwaves last longer. This one is supposed to last more than a week. Average summer temps usually range in the 70s. But this whole week is supposed to be above 90. I bought some little single AC units, but I tested mine out yesterday and it's basically just a fan. It didn't cool the air at all.
