Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

@JenniferS, I think your loud neighbors may have come to my neighborhood. They just started lighting off loud fireworks. We have kids who live around here who are probably sleeping right now. During the weekend or 4th of July is one thing. But a Monday night?

Sorry, that was me. There had been some reported sightings of Bob in your area, but I managed to scare him off with the fireworks. You’re welcome.

It’s me. Always me.

Mike always says, “Just leave it Baby, I’ll do it”. He actually even means it.

Problem is, I’m the type to have 2/3 of the dishes done before we even eat, and then be washing dishes as I’m swallowing my last mouthful.

Your peacock blue Keurig is pretty. I have a red one, which I like a lot, too. That said, for my best, strong morning cup of French Roast coffee (either Starbucks or Peets), I only use one of my Cuisinart drip coffee makers.

State superintendents got a letter from the DPI saying they expect us to be back in school in the fall. They are planning to release guidelines on June 22. They said it's likely schools will have to provide virtual learning for some students.

This is very good news to me. I despised virtual learning.
We are expected to be in the school buildings as well.
Very glad regarding that!
Today was the day our 5th graders returned their books to the school and received their yearbooks.
All the parents lined their cars up and all teachers lined the sidewalk in front of the building. The cars then paraded by us and we did a "5th Grade Wave Off".

Technically our last day of virtual learning is Friday 6/19, yet we certainly felt "done" after we took their books and waved good bye.

I Googled when Amazon Prime Day will be this year. It's normally in July. They are speculating that it will be in September due to the pandemic.

I was hoping it would still be in July to give me something to do on those days. I don't work, and last year I spent both days searching for deals and adding things to my waitlist. I had a lot of fun, actually. But if it's during September, I'll be back to work and won't catch all the deals. I got some great, hardcover books for cheap last year.

Somewhat related to your subject above, my state always has a "tax free" shopping weekend, usually in August. I was just wondering the other day if they'll even do that this year, due to all the tax money the state didn't pull in due to the virus shutdowns, etc. 🤷‍♀️

I doubt it. Not just that, but they probably don't want an influx of people going out because it's tax free.

Strike 2 for the newish neighbours two doors down! 🤬

I’m on the front lawn with my 1.1 kg puppy trying to get her to pee, and their 80 lb+ mutt comes for a visit. Ski scoops up the pup and leaves me out there.

Priorities.
That would warrant a neighborly "Welcome to our community...please don't EVER allow this to happen again" greeting. No excuse for that, leash laws or not. My folks almost lost a pug puppy that way, but thankfully Dad had the scoop-up reflexes that Ski has.

My old dog was attacked as a puppy when we were visiting my grandma's house. My dad was letting her outside on a leash, and the neighbor dog ran up to her. My dad grabbed her by the leash and yanked her up to him. It had to have hurt her neck. My dad got bit on his finger. He brought our dog inside, and my mom was holding her. I looked at her and noticed she was bleeding in her thigh. The big dog got her even worse than my dad. It was on the weekend, so the vet had to come in to do emergency stitches, which cost extra. My dog was terrified of everything from that point on. She did not like people she didn't know, she did not like other dogs, she was afraid of little noises like a bottle popping.
