Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

The truth is that anyone that does mechanical stuff has been using metric for a long time. The unimportant things like quart vs. liter or mile vs. kilometer and so on, we just let slide. Car engines used to be sized via cubic inch, now it is how many liters. We use it and before to long it will be more used then not. I haven't kept up with it lately, but has Canada finally left the Imperial gallon measurement. If you have it took quite a while for that to be dropped. We don't really like change down here and we have had more then our share of it lately. Don't need anymore right now. Temperatures probably won't changing to Celsius any time soon. It just makes no sense to have the air making one sweat profusely at 35 degrees Celsius. We may never get used to that.

I am 52 years old, driving since I was 16, and I have only ever filled my tank with litres. Google says gas was definitely one of the last things to convert ... but that was in 1979.

I do, however, remember different pumps (and prices) for leaded vs unleaded gas.

I was part of the switch-over generation. Whatever Imperial measurements I learned pre-grade 5 I remember. Everything after that was taught in Metric.

I comprehend warm temps better in F, but cold temps in C. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Ok, also as promised, some pictures from the Efteling:

These are from the nighttime show. Rather than fireworks, they do a sort of fountain show on the water with lights and they use the music from the different attractions as the background. It's really cool.

And this is Symbolica, the newest attraction. Sorry the pictures are blurry, but you are constantly moving, and this particular bit is spinning, so I couldn't get good ones.

Fairytale forest:

This is outside the gingerbread house. I know a lot of the things in the forest are interactive....like the witch sticks her head out of a little flap in the door if you rattle the gate maybe? Or it might be if you touch this cake my daughter is pretending to gobble. She is a goofball. This one is from 2017.
