Born yesterday - 7 lbs 7 oz., and totally perfectHas the new one entered the world of grandparents yet, or are you anticipating. I read that one was coming, but, I never saw if delivery had been accomplished.

What could possibly go wrong?Don't worry--heard that the tanks aren't loaded with ammo--they're just on "parade". You'll be perfectly safe.

I've never been to Vegas. The only place I've been to a casino is once here in the Netherlands before DH and I were married and I came to visit, and a few times in Deadwood South Dakota. But the first few times in Deadwood, I was a minor and went with my mom, so I didn't gamble at all, just watched my mom and she was the one who just brought a roll of nickels for the nickel slots. Last time I was there was in 2016 when I traveled with my brother's family and the same cousins we're seeing at Disney this summer. We traveled through South Dakota for a few days and we went to Deadwood one night for dinner...we didn't gamble at all then...just went to a casino for the Prime Rib buffet. I'm pretty sure they still do some slot machines that run on coins in Deadwood, but maybe I'm wrong. The whole atmosphere is a bit overwhelming, and we were of course with the kids who couldn't gamble, and DS did not like all the noise and lights, so we hot-footed it out of there...and I remember the kids were both cold, but neither had a jacket with them because it had been over 100 degrees outside, and I always have my sweatshirt with me. My kids were small enough that they could both fit in the sweatshirt, side by side, with their outside arms through the sleeve and their other arms in the middle. It looked so cute, them trying to go up the stairs in the casino together in that sweatshirt. Most casinos now don't have slots that take change. (Heck, I even remember the penny slots at the Greyhound Bus Station out in Vegas, about 25 years ago -- you could really stretch out your time playing on the machines!)
Cash (bills) are always accepted in the slots, but most states' gaming commissions won't allow you to use a credit card directly in the slots. You can, however, use a credit card to get a cash advance (at a higher fee, if you do that at an ATM inside the casino), or you can set up a line of credit with the casino. All that is waaayy beyond anything I've ever done, or care to do. (I recall back when hubs and I were on our honeymoon in Vegas, we just brought a few hundred each, to play in the casinos. Once that was gone, it was game over! )
Well, if it's any consolation, I've ALWAYS been that way, with the clumsiness and such. My specialty is running into door handles, tripping over sidewalk tiles, dropping the lid to my water bottle. Things happen. I'm sure it's a bit scary if you aren't used to it, but if you've gotten this far in life without that, you're golden....think where I'll be when I'm your age, since I STARTED where you are now.I was a very frustrating day indeed, but, here I am a week later, still upright and taking nourishment. Nothing really bothered me over a few minutes except the cost to replace my key fob. I just was hoping to not have any big unexpected expenses for a little while, but, everything could be much worse. Thanks for being concerned. I mostly posted that just for a way to vent and get some support. When I told my kids they started to talk about where to place me. They are like me and just kidding, of course, but, I was really mad at myself. They did tell me to give myself a break and that I am trying to hard to be a super human.
For some reason I find myself getting angry at myself a lot in response to having things happen that I should have been able to avoid. Just about everything I listed was pure and simple clumsiness. I was never like that before and it is a little scary as I get older to have that happen numerous times in a single day. However, the rest of the week went OK.
I'm SHOCKED that you, as a pastor's wife, would advocate breaking the law by buying an underaged child a lottery ticket!7 pounds, 7 oz, in the 7th month! Lucky Sevens! Buy that kid a lottery ticket!

Saw the surgeon in London AGAIN.
Right knee arthroscopy and meniscectomy next Wednesday. (Yay for a cancellation!)
General anaesthesia again, so I have a feeling we may be starting a whole new streak.
“Quickly” is a relative term. My fall was 10 days before Christmas.Glad that you can get this taken care of quickly.
