While the rest of us will be having pork chops and apple sauce, pan fries done on the BBQ, corn on the cob, and home-made coleslaw, Son #2 is going to eat this carp:

It looks slightly better cooked, but having tasted it (once!), I'm willing to bet it actually tastes better frozen.

It looks like the macaroni and beef that caused the infamous Incredible Ryan's Steakhouse Story.

It was a challalange getting my phone to let me type it.

You know what would make this thread complete?
Food P-orn!

And I'm just your girl.

Dinner at The Keg last Friday, a thanks-for-helping-us-move dinner from my bro.

(Bro's shrimp. Scampi, I think.)

(SIL's slightly blurry Caesar salad.)

(Hubby's yucky calamari.)

(My oh-so yummy crab cakes with home-made tartar sauce.)

Entrees:

(Bro's steak w/shrimp skewer. He accidentally chose salad for his side, so I ordered my garlic mashed on the side to give to him. I'm cool like that.)

(SIL's still mooing steak.)

(Hubby's steak Oscar. Ordered medium well. Served well.)

(My steak and shrimp skewer with Asian slaw. Asian slaw was so gross! Steak was over-done. Again. As was my anniversary dinner steak. :()

(Garlic mashed. I kept one forkful and gave the rest to my brother. Big mistake - it was the best part of the entree.)

And now I'm starving.

Great day! Went to Epcot around 5:30 and went on UoE and SSE. Then ate at SS. Headed over to the Mexico ride. Had front row (my legs are too long for the other rows) and realized you can put your feet up on the front. It was the most relaxing boat ride! Then got a great spot for Illuminations an hour before. I haven't seen that show since my first trip in 2002. Loved it! Got some awesome pictures that I'll share later since I'm not on my laptop.

And my camera was a great investment. I can finally take night shots that aren't awful!

Tomorrow we head back to Epcot for early EMHs, then down time in the afternoon followed by DHS at night again. Beaches N Cream for a late lunch/early supper. Have never eaten there before, but have been trying to do so for a few years so I'm pretty excited!

Overall just an awesome day! Best day of the trip so far, and one of the most enjoyable days I remember having at WDW.

Illuminations is one of my 2 or 3 favorite things at WDW.

This sight started as a sight about Illuminations.

Everyone seemed like they didn't want to wait for Illuminations, but I was bound and determined to since I've been trying to for years now. And afterwards everyone loved it and said it was well worth a 1 hour wait.

And now I'm going to head off to sleep. Another early day tomorrow, but hopefully it will be worth it like it was today!

Once I grab a dessert and slush in France, the wait for Illuminations is pretty enjoyable.
