Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Those people over in Lawerence who are still waiting for the gas lines to be repaired must be thrilled...

It's insane. Columbia Gas informing some residents that it may be the middle of December now, before they have gas. (Their deadline was 3 days from now, and they came out and admitted they weren't even close to that deadline in repairs.)

I was thrilled when DD and her husband moved out of that town for a lot of reasons, but this one would have put us all over the top!

Oh this is funny (and yes - it's real):

http://www.cbs8.com/story/39480843/...t-save-money-or-pay-rent-but-gain-experiences

Like adulting, the game of Monopoly can be hard.

Luckily, Hasbro launched a new edition of the classic game perfect for those who value life experiences over saving money for retirement and buying property.

Monopoly for Millennials promises "a break from the rat race" and "adulting" for those born from the early 1980s to mid-1990s.

Instead of collecting cash, paying rent and buying property, players collect "experience points" by visiting places like "your Friend's Couch, the Vegan Bistro and a Week-Long Meditation Retreat."

The player who collects the most Experience chips -- not the one with the most money -- wins the game.

Other stops on the board include Farmer's Market, Thrift Shop, 3-Day Music Festival and Yoga Studio. Instead of railroads, there are Bike Share squares.

The gold player pieces include a laughing-crying emoji, a camera, a pair of sunglasses and a hashtag.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
We used to play Poleconomy growing up. That and Risk were our two favourite family board games.

Everybody wanted to own I.P. Sharpe and Bombardier (which to this day we still call “Bom-bom-ba-deer”).

This particular conversation had me wondering if I could still find a copy somewhere. Turns out - yes!
Arrives 11/22-11/30. Good condition. Box slightly worn.

I’ll give it to Bro #1 for Christmas, methinks. Already got him an Actifry, so he’s done. 🙂

I bought Bro #2 a new cell phone, which I’m giving to him today. And Bro #3 is getting cash.

Monopoly - pull yourself out of homelessness edition?
Monopoly - move out of your parents’ basement addition.
Monopoly - who knew my kids needed a college education?
The box says, "Forget real estate. You can't afford it anyway."

BTW - people are getting seriously bent out of shape over this. Which is kind of fitting since people get seriously bent out of shape about EVERYTHING these days.
