Did ya ever have a Saturday with no plan? We HAD a plan that was dependent on someone else and then they cancelled.
My wife and daughter are sleeping late. I'm normally up at 5:30am(M-F) and today I stayed in bed until 8:30am. For me that's sleeping late. My girls will go far beyond that for sure...... they are sleeping late champions.
Later today it is officially FALL season, correct? I like the temps and overall feel of late September and October.
What are any of you reading this post gonna do this weekend?

Are the liquor stores closed on Sunday too? I went to school in Boston and I recall a mad dash on Saturday before we went out so we’d have beer for football on Sunday.


That’s my day today - no plan. My throat was bothering me last night and I wasn’t sure which way it was going to go. I feel fine so now it’s just figuring out what to do!

We're having a big family party here - bring a salad or dessert!

No plans here today. Hubs and I just got back from breakfast and now I'm just going to work on my digital scrapbooks and read.

Update: going to exercise, wash towels, pull the weeds by the curb, spray so no more pop up, vacuum the sunroom and MAYBE give the dogs baths. Might trek out East to the outlets if my 14 year old wakes up. And that my friends is Saturday.

They can open at 10 AM on Sundays now. It used to be noon, but that was amended a few years ago. All other mornings (except for some major holidays) they can open at 8 AM.

I just finished cutting the grass. I was surprised that on Sept. 22nd some acorns had already dropped. I shouldn't be surprised. Every year BEFORE I can stop cutting the grass for the season, I always have acorns to roll over with my mower......even though it is not October yet.Here are the acorns I picked up off the grass...then I arranged them on my glass patio table

No sir. That would be silly. I picked up the acorns from my lawn. I walked them over to my glass patio table. Clustered them all together and took the photo. I didn't think they would be as easy to view if I took the photo of the acorns with the grass as the background.

As someone who puts effort into staging my photos, I could tell exactly what you’d done. I recognized the texture of the patio table immediately.

I had a pile of acorns on my front stoop with bite marks in them. Stupid squirrels.

At first I thought the acorns were on some sort of ice, but then I thought that didn't make sense. So I looked again and assumed it was a table top of some sort. I wonder how long it would take the squirrels to take them off the table?

So in honor of the last few hours of summer yesterday, we decorated with a tropical theme, including a 5 foot inflatable palm tree. This morning I looked out and the palm tree was lying on its side, surrendering to the awesomeness of fall apparently.

I awoke to rain on the first full day of fall. 63F.
Very fall-like.
Yet on Wed. NJ is expected to be 80F and humid.
That'll be summer's last gasp?

It was 51 here in Indy. At least the air is off now and we can open the windows!
