Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

I absolutely LOVE Singing in the Rain.

One year TCM was sponsoring the showing of certain classic movies in movie theaters across the country (I think they are still doing this), and there is one movie every month. They had Singing in the Rain showing in January and my husband and I went. I prayed for a week that there would be no snow storm, and there wasn't but it was -15 F because I didn't want to worry about driving on bad roads to see my movie. So my husband and I traveled an hour and a half to watch Singin' on the big screen. I have seen this movie 100's of times and I own the DVD but seeing it on a big screen was so fantastic it was like seeing it for the first time. And the theater was packed too so it was fun to be in a theater with people who loved it as much as I did.

There's definitely something about seeing a movie on the big screen in the dark with surround sound. My son used to like to say, "I've seen Terminator 2, I can see [insert movie name here]" and I would explain it's incredibly different seeing Terminator 2 in our living room with the lights on as opposed to an intense movie in a theater.

Yep! And since I was thinking about the TCM big screen thing I looked it up to see what films they are doing for the rest of the year. There are some good ones. I'm tempted with the South Pacific one coming up but I'm pretty pumped to see that White Christmas is the December one. That is now on the calendar!

Just in case anyone is curious to the schedule.

I was blown away by The Ten Commandments on the big screen. A couple of scenes were cheesy by today’s standards, but by far the majority of the film was even more impressive!

Ugh. I seem incapable of just going eeny meeny miny moe and picking a dump on 192 for our first night in September.

Plane lands just after 7:00 pm. We plan on eating at Disney Springs that evening and then just hitting the hay. We need a room for less than 10 hours.

Any suggestions?

9/4. Hit the parks and check into CSR 9/5.

Need a place for the night of 9/15 too, but I haven’t even thought about that yet.

This is all JetBlue’s fault. Flight 85 has always been an early morning flight. 🙄

I stayed here a few years back and it was very nice. Try it, if you don't like it I will just deny having any previous knowledge of anything I ever said. That's how we roll down here.

Here is another one close by. I stayed in that one as well. Another nice place, but, since it's only 10 hours it doesn't really matter. You won't have time to become attached to it.

It was vague in the first one but comfort inn has free parking!

I made Mike choose. He went with a DoubleTree. They have cookies. 🍪

I liked it too BECAUSE of the free parking. Parking fees offend me! Plus, DoubleTree has delicious mattresses and pillows.

I’m not a tree hugger, but in the last few weeks I’ve made some significant conservation decisions.

After years of finding 2, 3, 4 half empty water bottles around the house every day, I finally quit buying water bottles a few weeks ago. We have a water cooler. We have refillable bottles. Use them.

I also bought a new co2 cartridge and stocked up on Sodastream and Torani syrups. I’m done buying cases of pop too.

I’ve been re-using straws for ages, simply because I seem to always have a sink full of hot soapy water at any given time.

Today, I figured out how to pop out the middle of the K-cups and have started recycling those too.

Now bring on those free Disney Ziploc bags. I’m in!
