So at the end of my shift tonight I was buying things for the trip (most of which were for other people), and I had a coupon for $5 back in points on a $35 purchase. So I had roughly $15 to go before the coupon would work. I ended up getting a pair of shorts, a beach towel and a couple of drinks to put me at $35. I needed a beach towel, but the other things I didn't need. And now looking back, if I would have taken off the shorts and drinks, I would have had $12 left. And I saw a $12 book that I thought looked good earlier today. Now I'm kind of disappointed, but it's not worth it to go back and return it.

I hate reviewing a purchase after the fact and seeing where I went wrong.

No, I won't be able to get one before we leave, so I'm just going to have to charge it in between parks and at night.
According to the specs you should be able to get 270 shots on a single charge.

also note:
The battery life can be eked out to 400 shots by activating Canon’s Eco mode though, which conserves power by dimming the display after just a couple of second’s inactivity, and turning it off altogether shortly afterwards...
