You know that you could be making a productive use out of all that weather crap that is keeping you indoors and use the time to start packing boxes to make the move further south. That's what I did in 2011. I spent January, February, March and the First half of April (a time in Vermont when it snowed everyday, including the day I left for NC on April 15th) doing just that. At 6 pm after the movers pulled out, I said goodbye to my neighbors, pointed my car to the south and hit the road while playing this on my CD player. Never looked back!

That's exactly how my crocuses looked this morning. Snow has melted now though, so they're pretty again.

I picked that photo because my father used to grow crocuses, along the side path of the house. I always remember they were the first flowers to bloom in spring, and many times they would pop up through the snow. They were hearty little things! :joyfull:

Wow.....that's a fantastic turnout!! Is that the only church in town? Where I grew up, the population was about 1200, and we had Assembly of God, Baptist, Catholic, Episcopal, Lutheran, and Mormon churches there...we wouldn't have FIT 235 people in our church all at one time...the Baptist church, maybe, and the Mormon church most definitely, but I don't think any of the others could come close to that!

No it isn't the only church in town. There are 5 different churches, all of different denominations. Hubs was pretty pleased with the turn out.

Where I live it says 2-5 inches, with ice. Where I work it says 3-9 inches with about 1/10th of an inch of ice. Either give me a full snow day, or nothing.

Ice, yuck! If you do have school drive safe! I haven't hear much about ice here but it wouldn't surprise me as it was melting right away on the pavement, looks like it is sticking now. Can't winter just be done already!?

We are notorious for not cancelling. At most usually a 2-hour delay. Ice is what really gets sketchy, though.

You drive safe, too!

Thanks! We are pretty slow to call off school too. I think we have to make this one up, and right now if I have to choose of having a day off now with cold or getting out when I should with hopefully warmer weather I will pick going to work tomorrow.

I hope we have school tomorrow, too. I'm done with winter weather... as if I wasn't in December.
