Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

There are two services on Easter so I did make it to one. He always sleeps downstairs the night before Easter because he has to get up so early. I thought I would wake up when he was getting ready like I normally do but he was as quiet as a little mouse this year. The dog didn't even stir.

It was a nice service and he even tied in Muppet Vision and the Sam Eagle/Gonzo exchange of "Stop that foolishness!" and "What foolishness would you like to see?" from the pre-show to his sermon since it is both April Fool's Day and Easter.
I don't want to make like I am an expert on religion based sayings, but, I believe it should be "he was as quiet as a CHURCH mouse. Goof XXXIV ;):angelic:

Nice! And how sweet that he let you sleep. Do a lot of people go to the early service? My mom always loved going to the Sunrise service on Easter. I would have preferred the later one.

Yeah there is usually a good turn out at both services. He said there were 235 people at sunrise and about 255 at the second service. That's almost half the population of our town! I sometimes to to the sunrise but sometimes I just can't get up that early!

I have packed my bag and lunch for tomorrow. Spring break is winding down.

I'm ready to get back into it, but I already feel overwhelmed for tomorrow. I've created a to-do list, much of which has to get done before the kids come in. We will see if that happens.

Here's the grind until the end. Only 45 (I think that's accurate... maybe give or take a day) more days until the year is over!

That was one of the great ones. I am not watching it, but, I am DVRing it to watch later. I used to listen to that album over and over again.

Never saw it when it was in theaters years ago, so I didn't really know what to expect. Watched about 20 minutes of this last night, and it was very good--much better than I thought it would be. I was unfamiliar wiith the two male lead actors/singers, but both were talented and had quite a stage presence. Unfortunately, I had stuff to do, so didn't watch the whole production.

Really liked the music, by the way. (And the guitarists at the beginning -- wow!)

Wow.....that's a fantastic turnout!! Is that the only church in town? Where I grew up, the population was about 1200, and we had Assembly of God, Baptist, Catholic, Episcopal, Lutheran, and Mormon churches there...we wouldn't have FIT 235 people in our church all at one time...the Baptist church, maybe, and the Mormon church most definitely, but I don't think any of the others could come close to that!

We went to a reading/lecture today about Autism and it was SOOOOOO fascinating. It was all about how the brain of someone with Autism works and why they have problems with the things they have problems with. It explained so much of DS's behavior....DH and I sat there through the whole thing going "oh THAT'S why he's so terrible at looking for things!", Oh THAT'S why he gets so angry, Oh no wonder he's afraid of elevators since ToT, etc...
We got all 3 of Collette de Bruin's books, but they said this last one is going to be translated into English, which I would rather read it in my own language if I can, so I hope it comes out soon. I am feeling hopeful now!

The music (well, it is an opera of sorts) is the backbone of the thing. We all know the story of Christ, but, the twist and modernization that the music put on it, brought a lot of young people into focusing on what it was all about. Also made, for good or bad, Jesus far more human and relatable.
