Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

No you're not!!! Finally, I found a shovelling buddy!!

It does take surrounding yourself with other weirdos to make things seem normal 😂

I mean, you can't make this stuff up.:D

This morning's news story that made me laugh was about the woman with the emotional support peacock, who was denied passage on a United flight yesterday! She argued with the crew and said that she had even bought a separate seat for the peacock, but they would not let her take the bird on the plane, due to various restrictions. (I think she ended up driving to her destination.)

One thing I’ve learned - crazy knows no bounds.

True... couple that with entitlement and you've got a uncomfortable situation for everyone. I have a upstairs neighbor, an X-Marine, that is on 100% disability (Afghanistan). He has two emotional support dogs that tax payers also paid for. This summer he went to someplace, I think Wisconsin to attend law school? Wanna guess where the government supported support dogs are now. If you said Wisconsin you would be so wrong. They are still upstairs over my head in his mothers apartment and she works and they don't shut up all day long. If a bug goes by the window they go into a barking frenzy, in fact, they are in one right now. Don't know why, probably a leaf just blew by. I have to wonder how come he doesn't need that canine support while he's in school, but, couldn't live without them before.

It is getting so hard to know who to believe anymore. The fakers are creating a situation where those really in need are being thought of as liars and harming them while the fakers go on happily leaching off everyone they can. I know, as a Vietnam Veteran, I am supposed to blindly support all veterans, but, if you had ever met this guy you would know that he is just out for himself.

Sorry, it just makes me angry. The only other time I got this upset about any single person was years ago when a Vietnam Veteran was on trial for raping a local woman. His defense was... he was having flashbacks. I wrote into the newspaper (the social media of the time) and with many more words then this brought up the point that if his experience in Vietnam included raping women, then he was in a different military then I was, and that there was a good chance that he was screwed up pretty severely before he ever got there. Not saying that had anything to do with it, but, he was found guilty (no provisions). Small victory for me, but, huge for the young lady. It took a lot of courage to even press charges. She went on to serve very successfully as a State Legislator.

I was just reading that United explained to her 3 times before she even came to the airport that the bird would not be allowed to fly. She's also a performance artist. I'm guessing the price of the plane ticket was her attempt at advertising herself.

Since today is our last day in Bradenton for a bit, my sister took me out eagleing one more time. We started at one just up the road from here with a pond across the street (where I saw the huge gator the other day). We were greeted by a flock of pelicans and other random birds.IMG_6515.JPGIMG_6520.JPG

A group of vultures was circling the nest so Momeagle called for help.

Dadeagle arrived in an instant and chased the vultures away then perched on a limb above the nest to protect his little family.

Wow. Big drama in the eagle world this morning! :jawdrop: I remember one time seeing an eagle up close (in a show about raptors, in a nature area). Holy cow, their talons could rip you to shreds in seconds--those flying vulture enemies have got to be crazy to go after the eaglets!

It was so neat seeing it all unfold before us. I've enjoyed watching this pair for a few years now, and I'm still awestruck every time we see them.
