Sounds like a plan.

Did you attend Dr. Sproul’s funeral on Wednesday?

The service is being held this Wednesday. I went to church for the visitation today and was able to meet with the Sproul family and give them my condolences. I'll be at the memorial service on Wednesday as well. We've been told to arrive really early. People are going to be coming from all over the country. The service will also be streamed live on rcspoul.com.

If they play RC's hymn "Highland Hymn" I don't think there will be a dry eye in the church. I love all of his hymns but the words to that one are even more meaningful now.

That's a nice photo of your church choir all dressed up in festive red for the Christmas season.

Glad to hear that you'll be with your family to celebrate Christmas. I'm sure your parents will have some delicious food for the holiday dinner feast!

Thank you, we have an amazing choir at St. Andrew's.

My grandmother just asked me today if I wanted her to make anything special for Christmas. I can't wait for my grandmother's oyster dressing.

Wow. You just took me back to years ago when I was a kid. My grandmother used to always have those hard candies at Christmas. Her livingroom had the Christmas tree, knicknacks on the shelves, mismatched pieces of furniture, white cotton doilies on all the side tables (doilies were a "thing" back then ;) ), and those hard candies in a glass bowl..

Isn't it interesting how small things can have such an impact on us.

Back at home for a few days - let the Christmas baking begin!

I just bought 4 plastic containers (with lids) at the supermarket last weekend, because they had a good sale price. Wasn't sure what I was going to do with them at the time, but now I think I should leave them on your porch, and you can fill them with cookies for me. :D

Will swing by before work in the morning to retrieve my containers; and I won't ring the bell, because I know you would be up late baking cookies for my containers. Feel free to sleep in.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

I’ll bring milk. We’ll have a party on Nemo’s front porch.
