I'm not sure if I mentioned this before but the Goodyear Blimp airdock is about fifteen minutes from me. The Marines have a Toys For Tots drive this weekend and we went last night with a trunkload. You drive through the hangar right next to the blimp (it is literally right next to you!) and the Marines unload whatever is donated from your vehicle. When we arrived the line was already fifty cars deep and a steady line turning in after us. A new blimp is being built so it didn't look like what you'd see on tv yet. It was still cool!

Waiting in line.

And at the exit you drive right up under the tail of the Blimp.

Next year we plan on going again to see the finished product. :)
That is very cool!

From the Disney buying Fox thread ...
I've quit keeping up with that rumor, and personally am about over Disney abandoning Walt's method of innovation in exchange for purchasing other's creativity. But for those of you keeping up with what's happening, is this actually a thing, or just a rumor?

I’m not sure if I mentioned this - but I am now officially on Christmas Break.

But wait, you say, did you not just return to work 30 days ago? And have you not just returned from five days in New York?

The answer to both is yes. And now I am off until the 6th of January. Boo-ya!

Before y’all hate me too much though, I have dental surgery on the 14th, and may be on a liquid diet for up to two weeks. (Root canal re-treatment, parts one, two, and three were a complete bust; so surgery it is. :()

I have two full weeks left. It's a short break this year because we have a full week before break since Christmas is on a Monday. That's going to be a LONG week. Although, in years past apparently the last day before break has had preplanned activities by administration, such as movies and whatnot. So hopefully it goes by fast.

Damn woman... I'm retired and I don't have that much time off. I think I want to be Cananadian, eh. Good luck with the surgery. Seems like I remember Mike mentioning something about having your mouth wired shut. I think that is where I heard it. ;)Anyway, good luck.

I rather like this little ditty.

I have been known to chair dance and “finger conduct”.

Mike has been known to roll his eyes and pretend we are random strangers seated next to one another.

I mentioned this on the other chit chat thread but Disney has released its full line of State Fair shirts, there are many cute designs and the price at $19.95 isn't too bad for Disney. @PUSH the Wisconsin design is okay (I like some others better) but it does mention cheese.

I never had a clue these existed. (P.S.: the one for my state is ugly. :hilarious: )

Ours is worse...

Looking at some of the others, I think they're all kind of dorky...

Isn't it amazing that they had this guaranteed sale opportunity (right in time for holiday presents) and the blew it?!

How unlike Disney! :hilarious:

The one for MA is just awful...because no one from MA does anything but fish. And Pete, of all characters.

Not sure.
It's a real thing, and Disney is in the top place as far as people wanting to buy, but it's not a sure thing yet. Someone posted that an agreement has been made, but the sources are very sketchy and I'm waiting until a mainstream media source writes a story to believe anything has been done. I'm watching pretty closely.
