So, as we've done for the past 2 years, we went to Newport today to see the Christmas decorations. I got to choose which one to go to so my first choice is always The Breakers.

I know I've posted pictures from there every year now, so you might get a little deja vu for the next few posts.

There are trees in almost every room, so I'll jus post a few of my favorites:

At least in this group of pictures, I can finally see all of them now.

Yah, The Breakers is really something, isn't it? The one fact about that mansion was that they had both regular water and sea water as options, piped into the house!!! I always thought that was really cool.

As a few of you may have read on FB, we got to cross something off my bucket list today. We walked the whole perimeter of Central Park, with little side exclusions and forays into the park here and there.

These might all actually be the Dakota. Did not see Yoko, in case you were wondering.

And now coming down 5th. The “sidewalk” was so uneven (due to tree roots) that my hip is barking something mad. @NYwdwfan, it has NOTHING to do with my choice of foot attire.

It was worth it! (Hoping I still feel that way after we get back tonight.)

We had a very late lunch, or an obscenely early dinner. We were here back in 2011, and then one of the sister pubs in August.

I really wanted sticky toffee pudding, but that’s an English pub thing I guess; not so much an Irish pub thing. Don’t feel too badly for me though. After a brief nap (Hubby cannot get by on 2 hours sleep), we are headed back out to see the night time sights. I have a hankering for a good cup of hot chocolate.
