Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

I haven't counted our trick or treaters, although the door to the porch has opened and closed a lot. Hubs broke his ankle today and he usually hands out candy. He sits on the porch so the dog doesn't keep barking. Since he is unable to do that tonight and I don't want to sit out in 29 degree weather we put a sign out next to the bowls of candy. I took a peek awhile and there was still a decent amount left. Hubs bought dum-dums this year so that probably is why there is a decent amount of candy left.

Ooooh, I’m sorry for Hubs. Is he in pain?
You didn’t push him or anything, did you?

Sorry, I tend to lose my voice a lot too. I read an article about teachers once and they said that teachers are one of the top professions in which people end up with vocal chord damage. I can believe that.
I think it's more because I'm sick, and I'm hoping I'll be able to tell at them again tomorrow. (Kidding.)

But at the end of the day today, I could barely give directions and lead our end of day pack up routine bc I couldn't do anything more than a soft speaking voice.

Also, the internet and cable are out in like a whole portion of out county right now. Good thing tomorrow is my early morning with a meeting, so I have an excuse to go to bed early (like I need one... I'm frequently in bed by 9 these days. I'm such a rebellious hooligan.)

Sales can be pretty hard on your voice too. I talked to hundreds of people this weekend. Both Mike and I were hoarse Saturday night, and almost mute by Sunday night.

Of course I didn't push him... :cautious:

He was going to get his jeans out of the dryer and missed the last step on the basement stairs. I was in the bathroom at the time. It happened early this morning and to his right leg. No driving for him for about 6 weeks. It broke in two places. He says it hurts but is just using regular pain relievers, but will take the Vicodin tonight.

I'm sure you have them trained well enough that they did their routine anyway. Hope you feel better tomorrow and have a decent voice.

8:30. That’s a wrap.
To the best of my recollection, we had either 21 or 23 kids. Either way, not very many.

Not good. I hope he’s not too uncomfortable.

Does he have a cast? Can I sign it? I tend to doodle the Dow Scrubbing Bubble guys all over everything. I could make his cast look real snazzy.

He gets his real cast on Thursday afternoon. He has to go to the orthopedic dr for that. He is trying to decide which color to get. And if you were around you would totally be able to sign it.

Ski’s GF just came over.

Gen: Guess where I’m applying for a job.
Me: Dairy Queen?
Gen: No, your other favourite place.
Me: Disney? College program?

How cool would that be? She had a friend that just completed her CP semester. She loved every minute of it ... except for the dorm bed bugs. :jawdrop:
Lots of time for those to be eradicated before Gen even gets accepted. I already figured out where the flea came from. I don’t need bed bugs!

I considered the CO, but first, that's a long way from friends and family, and it's pretty important for me to be near them (you may recall my job hunt where I turned down one offer due to distance), and I was on track to graduate in 4 years, and I wasn't going to let that change. So I guess I never really considered it.

I wish I had done the Disney College Program, I remember seeing the posters around campus and seriously considered it. I also regret not studying abroad as well. I wanted to get through college with minimal debt, which I did but looking back a extra semester would have been worth a little extra. Oh well.
