I don't envy the teachers at our schools around here tomorrow (if there is school). The kids had an extended weekend thanks to the storm and now when they go back they'll be all sugared up. I think that's what sick days are for....

In other news, I accidentally ate a Hershey’s Cookies and Cream bar which I thought was a plain old Hershey’s milk chocolate bar. Mind blown.

We had to be back home at 8:00. But one big difference back then, was that we went trick or treating with our little pals. Now, it seems like every group of kids (or even just one or two kids) all have an adult with them. My, things have changed . . .

The coffee table also keeps my remote within easy reaching distance. Heaven forbid I should actually have to get up. (You know, with my banged up knee and all.)

We also keep laptops on it, along with papers we might be working on, or papers my mom has to grade.

We have end tables AND a coffee table. (1%ers I tell ya.) Our drinks go on coasters on the end table. The coffee table is pretty much for decoration and to fill in our large open gap in the living room. We also keep laptops on it, along with papers we might be working on, or papers my mom has to grade.

I haven't had a coffee table since my kids were little. I converted ours into a Lego table and set it up down in the basement for them to build on. I don't miss it at all.

I haven't counted our trick or treaters, although the door to the porch has opened and closed a lot. Hubs broke his ankle today and he usually hands out candy. He sits on the porch so the dog doesn't keep barking. Since he is unable to do that tonight and I don't want to sit out in 29 degree weather we put a sign out next to the bowls of candy. I took a peek awhile and there was still a decent amount left. Hubs bought dum-dums this year so that probably is why there is a decent amount of candy left.
