If we give out candy, we usually only get about 5 groups, so we've just stopped handing out. We live on a dead end, in a developing neighborhood, so there's not tons of kids around anyway.

I bought 6 bags of candy for Trick or Treaters at the end of the month. (I've already eaten about half a bag . . . )

Hubs keeps buying Halloween candy as well. It's a good and bad thing, so far I have had the willpower to only have one a day. I'll try to be strong!

The street is made so that it can eventually continue into open land someday when it gets developed, but they decided to develop a newer area of land that they purchased before expanding near us. So we've been here for 11 years, and we've never had anybody behind us, or to either side.

What I've done for the past 2 years is buy only the candy that I'm not too thrilled about. That kept my constant "sampling" down a bit. (I used to only buy the kinds that I really liked, but that didn't turn out well. ) I had to keep going out and replacing candy bags, right up to Halloween!
