OMG -- us, too! My mother always made that on Saturday night, as it was a really easy dinner for her, after cooking larger meals for the rest of the week (we had a family of 6).

I have 4 brothers and 2 sisters....

So you had a family of 8 then, counting your parents. At first, I thought your family and mine were exactly the same number, but apparently not. Also, I was the youngest, and you were the middle child.

We actually had 9 because my parents took in a special needs adult when her parents passed...

We lived on a farm and raised our own food and grew all our vegetables for the year, so beans and franks was one of the few store bought meals we had.
