When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
My puppy is sick.
I've cut out all treats, given her a puppy sized dose of Pepto Bismol, and will wait a few hours.

At her advanced age, I hate taking her to the vet's. She gets so stressed. Right now she's sleeping - something she does a lot of anyway.

Every morning it takes her a little longer to wriggle out from beneath the covers and I ask her, "Dog, are you alive?" One of these times, I fear she's not going to thump her stubby little tail in response.

That looks like a really awesome day.

It was! It was also really relaxing. I spent a lot of time just sitting at the different resorts enjoying the atmosphere.
@Eric1955 , is the scrim still up inside WL? I can't tell from your lobby photo, as it only showed one side.

Just wondering if they were still doing the DVC construction up on some of the guest floors (it's been up on one side of the lobby only, from what I've read in other posts--but I'm not sure if the work is still ongoing). WL has been a construction zone for some time now, between the interior, and the new cabins outside, etc.

The scrims are still there. You can see them better in this picture.

Two weeks, two hours and 28 minutes ago, but it feels like a lifetime.

Hope your dog comes out better.

, indeed. I'm still so sorry for your family.

Thank you.

She hasn't budged since I posted that more than three hours ago. I keep checking on her. The only way I know she's still with us is when I rub the bottom of her paws (which she hates) and she pulls her paw away.

Depending which site you read, the lifespan for her breed is either 12-15 years or 14-18. Either way, at 14 1/2, she is in her twilight years.

I'm hoping it's just a bit of tummy trouble and she's sleeping it off.

Our range was 12-15, and she had never had a single health problem before. I still say good bye to her every time I leave for school in the morning.

We had to put down our shih-tzu at only 4 1/2. Four weeks later, my mother passed away. Six months later, we had to put down Jack, our 13 1/2 year old cat. Fun times, I tell ya.

After Holly is gone, and Ski moves out (I know, wishful thinking) with Max and Penny, Mike and I are determined to remain pet free. I just can't do it all again.

We've only ever had one pet, and my parents have said they're done. Not only is it hard to lose them, but it comes with huge restrictions... although we'd take it all back in a heartbeat.

I'm hoping it's nothing serious, and she will come around by tomorrow.

He's been with the company for many years. Despite being a creature of little words, the guests love seeing him. That tray he's holding contains dinner mints for guests entering / exiting the lobby to have. I've got a box packed away in my office (labeled: "The Bear Necessities") with various hats & attire he puts on for special holidays throughout the year. He's never seemed to mind the humiliation of wearing the different festive garbs, and remains a good sport about it all. Ironically, after all these years of him being a coworker of mine...he's never been properly named. Maybe a thread contest / idea?
