Perhaps they are tasty, but those critters look scary to me! (Never had crawfish before, and can't figure out how you open them up--it must be a learned skill? )

I would have never thought of them as scary. They look just like little lobsters.

The biggest problem with them is that there is a lot of peeling involved. You just pull off the tail and then then tear the shell from the crawfish tail.

Yesterday my Facebook wall was full of pictures people were posting from their crawfish boils.

No, you boil potatoes, corn on the cob, mushrooms, sausage, hotdogs, and garlic in with the crawfish, and that's what you eat with it. We also make a mayonnaise and ketchup dipping sauce.

The hotdogs can be a bit spicy, but the dipping sauce helps to cool them down. The potatoes are really good dipped in sauce too.
