Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Updating Epcot doesn't have to mean Magic-Kingdoming it.

A thousand times this. EPCOT Center was more than a theme park, it was an idea. An idea that Disney truly thought could change the world for the better. EPCOT Center definitely needed to change to keep up with changing attitudes and tastes, but the idea behind EPCOT Center didn't need to change. In fact, I think the idea behind EPCOT Center is an idea we need more than ever.

Despite all of it's flaws I really liked the movie Tomorrowland. The reason I liked was not that it was that great a film, but because of the refreshing message the film offered. It's the message that I think Epcot could offer the world once again, and it's that there really can be "a great big beautiful tomorrow" if only we dare to dream. But we don't dream big anymore. It seems we've resigned ourselves to a dystopian future, and with that kind of attitude that's exactly what we'll get. Furthermore, we're so divided as a society that we don't even listen to each other anymore. Call me naive but I really think Epcot could be a force at least trying to change that.

Epcot could be something that really inspires people to dream again and go out and build that great big beautiful tomorrow. Perhaps it could even help us to listen to our fellow man. I love the line from Horizons, "for today holds the challenge to make this world a better place to be." That's what Epcot should be about. I know I'm sounding pretty cornball by now, but I truly believe Epcot should continue Walt's legacy by trying to make the world a better place to live, even if it is futile.

Agreed. I think Nemo was a giant miss, but I personally think the girls were a giant hit.

I also think Frozenstrom, or any other well done Frozen-based ride would overwhelm Fantasyland right now. Just look at the waits for SDMT.

Where else would you have put Anna and Elsa?

I still say it should have gone in Fantasyland. I think part of the reason for the crowds is that the park is woefully under capacity. Just look how many more rides Disneyland has, and I would argue that Disneyland is under capacity.

Sooooo funny. The big game is on at 9:00, and Hubby is "nesting".

While I made dinner (salad with buttermilk ranch dressing and salt & pepper chicken wings), he vacuumed two levels and washed the hardwood floors. And drank a beer.
I think game time is 9:20 Eastern time. Too late for most kids on a school night. Just like with a lot of World Series games.
