Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Thoughts on the Superb Owl (that's what Doug always called it).

What a game! I said after it became 28-3, that this may go down as one of the worst Super Bowls ever. Now it's going down as the greatest. As much as I hate the Patriots, their owner, their coach and their quarterback, they had a heck of a game. I would have given James White the MVP, though (Wisconsin bias).

The Falcons played a good game, and my heart breaks for them. I remember not too long ago how the Packers had one of the fastest and most heartbreaking collapses ever in the NFC Title game in Seattle. I can't imagine having it happen in the Super Bowl, though this collapse wasn't with under 3 minutes to go in the game.

Lady Gaga was great. She had a very subtle political message at the beginning, but she handled it very well. She's so much more than the dance/pop artist she was when she first became popular.

Forgotten after all of the big game intensity was Lady Gaga's awesome halftime performance. I read that she was looking at the halftime show as an opportunity to reach a large number of fans who may not be familiar with her music. I thought she really showcased her talent and her ability to command an audience's attention. Great show.

Hubs just showed me the video of her performance--very entertaining! (Neither one of us watches football, but he did tune in last night to see the halftime show. I was busy watching the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet. Team Fluff won.)

Tomorrow morning's commute into work will stink. On top of the usual rush hour traffic, a ton of fans are heading into the city early to go to that victory parade in Boston. I might have to get a 6:30 AM bus, just to try and avoid some of this lunacy. :banghead:

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Periods of snow switching over to hours of freezing rain is headed our way early tomorrow.

As usual, could be bad/could be nothing, depending on the timing, and the temperature.

I have candles and blankies at the ready, just in case the ice knocks out the hydro.

We were supposed to get that, but I don't think it's supposed to freeze anymore. I was hoping for another snow day, but it's probably better that we don't have one being that I'm starting a new unit tomorrow and my supervisor is coming for a visit on Wednesday. And tomorrow night is conference night.
