In the one place you haven't looked!
So, I gave up trying to locate my wreath hangers from last year.
Went to Walgreens--nothing. Then I went to Lowes, because they sell wreaths--but no hangers . . .
(aren't they a hardware store?). So I went to Kohls and found some (on sale for $10 each), but they had all kinds of decorative junk on them, that I felt would detract from the wreaths, themselves. Left Kohls and went to Target--voila! Plain door wreath hangers--$5.00 each!Came home & put up wreaths. From a storage bin, I dug out Christmas tree lights and bulbs to start decorating the tree. Guess what I found in the bin with the lights and bulbs? The two freaking wreath hangers!!

top one still looks darker....

Completely cover the the corner seam with your finger. If any part of the seam shows the top one still looks darker.

Yup. You are correct.
I too, would have said the top one was darker ... until I covered the entire seam.
