Actually you can, but, if both your nose and your mouth is closed it cannot be heard. Air must be able to escape.did you know that you can’t hum when you hold your nose closed?

I would imagine that quite a few calories would be trimmed off, if we all just licked delicious food, versus devouring it all.
(I'd be willing to try this method, but I'm afraid that once I licked it, I couldn't stop there . . .)
