Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

We went for a walk down a bike path up in the northern part of the state today. We went for the exercise, but also to give the new camera a tryout. So far I'm pretty pleased.
The path runs along the Blackstone river, so we saw a lot of wildlife. There were a lot of Canada geese:

and a great blue heron (i'm pretty sure he followed me here from Florida):

Finally, just before the end of our trek, I spotted these 2 grazing in the woods:

While I was shooting pictures of them, DH noticed a third one just around the corner from them:

Eventually all 3 got together and ran off but I got one more pic before they took off:

All in all it was a great day and a nice way to end our summer.

It looks like you had quite the adventure in wild kingdom! I liked the picture of the muskrats, I'm sure they were fun to watch.

The weird thing was that we were the only people to stop and look at them. It's basically a paved bike path, and most people on it were either riding bikes or jogging, so they didn't see much of anything. Kind of a "to each his own" type of thing I guess, but we had fun.

For some reason, I was intrigued with all the turtle pictures--I really liked them!!

I know what you mean about how some people don't seem to notice nature around them. There's a nature area not far from where I live. Hubby goes there (with headphones on, listening to loud music) to run around the cement pathway (a bit over 2 miles in one loop), and this circles a nice pond. He says he just keeps looking forward and might glance at the pond once in a while.

Whenever I go there, I stay on the public cement pathway for just a few minutes, and then I dart off into the woods--4 miles of lesser known, dirt paths--some of the more obscure ones are overgrown, and you practically have to bushwhack your way through! (Ha! Love it! ) There are so many cool things you see in the woods--animals, plants, and even glacial boulders.

The golf course I frequent has turtles all over the place. They, at least, have protection from the wayward golf balls and they are sometimes in the way of the not wayward golf balls. I've seen a number of our large population of Canadian Geese that occasionally walk a little funny for a while.
