We went to the Lego Discovery Center in Westchester today. I absolutely loathe the drive back to Long Island from up there. Every route has an equal alternate and it NEVER FAILS I choose the wrong one traffic-wise. Once you commit you can't switch. Throngs Neck or Whitestone? Cross Island or Clearview? LIE or Northern State? And traffic apps never help because there are always NEW accidents. :banghead:

I absolutely LOVE me some Bee-Gees. The Saturday Night Fever soundtrack is just awesome 70's goodness.

Have either you or @Eric1955 ever seen the PBS special with the "live" Bee Gees concert, One Night Only, at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas? It was filmed back in 1997, and it is a great show if you ever get a chance to see it. Our local PBS stations in my area were showing it a few months ago; but PBS rotates a lot of shows over periods of time, so it may still be playing on PBS channels elsewhere.

That's really aggravating. I hate driving, and only take the car out early on weekend mornings.

Back from a great day on Cabot Trail today. It started out rainy and foggy, and I was really hesitant about us going since we figured we wouldn't see much today. But we're heading back to New Brunswick tomorrow, so this was our only chance, so we went anyway. It was pretty dismal for the first part of the day, but the drive is just so gorgeous, we were glad we did go.

It was foggy for the first couple of hours, so we didn't take any pictures, even though the fog really gave everything a mystical look. We went on and into Cape Breton National Park. Cabot Trail goes through the park along some pretty crazy winding roads. Anyway, we took a wrong turn at one point and realized it right away, but the road was too narrow to turn around right away so we continued on it for a while, where we came upon this:

It's a juvenile bald eagle, and there were actually 2 of them just soaring over us, They were so cool!

I was so excited to see (and hear) them - so we decided it wasn't a "wrong" turn after all. I mentioned to DH that it would be neat if we saw an adult eagle that close too, and he agreed.

So, we went back to the "right" road and drove on and eventually the sun came out. We pulled over at several lookout points and snapped a few pictures (I'll post them later), and then came to this one, right on the edge of a cliff. As we were admiring the view of the rocks and sea below, all of a sudden we spotted this:

He flew around right at our eye level for a few minutes then soared higher and higher. It was just breath-taking!

Anyway, I wish we had planned for more time here on Cape Breton Island. No matter where you go, just around the next corner is a view more awesome than the one before. We had planned to do some hikes here today, but the rain prevented that, but we'll definitely be back again. Here's just a small sample of some of the awesome views we saw today:

Beautiful!

I liked the eagle pictures too, it is better than the flying animal I saw today. I was going into work and looked up for some reason at the overhang and there were four bats hanging. EEK!

I kind of like watching bats fly around at dusk, but they do creep me out when they're just hanging upside down.

For some reason I can access anything on my laptop. Nothing involving the Internet wants to load. I'm on my phone now. So I apologize for my low activity tonight.
