Where in the World Isn't Bob Saget?

Maybe the gun thing.

I know exactly one person who owns one. He happens to be a Native and a hunter, which means he can hunt outside of "season".

Other than that, I don't know a single person who owns a gun; including my two retired cop BIL's.

Interesting......we all have them here. Go in to most homes and its like a small armory.

So I filled out my first bracket ever this year. I'm not a huge basketball fan, but I had Michigan State in the finals. They are trailing by 5 to a 15th seed right now with 30 seconds left.

He asked for the strangest thing...not most awesome!
You know better than most, Andrew, guns are not a thing up here. How many of your Canadian relatives own one? My guess is, not many; and certainly not a handgun, as it is almost impossible to legally possess a handgun.

Not passing judgement, just commenting on the totally different gun mentality.

Hubby got hung out to dry by Baylor's loss to Yale yesterday. He was some kind of sad. Had to drink a Guinness to make himself feel better.

None of my Canadian relatives own a gun. I have a cop in the family up there and he can't even take his gun home with him from work. He has to leave it locked up at the station.

However, between myself, my sister and my parents, I am the only one who doesn't own a gun. My sister purchased her first handgun when she was in grad school living on her own...obviously for protection.

In advance of my imminent return to work, I am slowly re-establishing housekeeping routines.

Friday is once again "Laundry Day"; in addition to "Clean Sheet Day", of course.
No more loosey-goosey doing a load here and a load there. With the departure of Avery and Son #1, my laundry is way less than half what it was, so there is no reason it can't all be done in one day.

We have one - and by "we" I mean hubby and I've never seen it. I think it's a hunting rifle. It's somewhere in the basement in a locked case and the bullets are somewhere else that I don't know about. The most shocking thing to me was when I found out my father has a gun and it was in the house since we moved from Brooklyn when I was 3. I had no idea.

Friends and Family event starts April 12. Couple of days of that, and then we open by appointment to the people on the registry list. Technically, we have enough people registered to sell the entire site 20 times over, but our prices are whack.

Off the top of my head, I see this site taking a full year; if not more. That's fine though. There isn't another site immediately in the offing, so it beats sitting at home and gaining another 40 lbs!

That is awesome! Happy for you.

So when will my monthly checks start again? May?

That's cause you don't have those crazy Canadians as neighbors. I've said it over and over... you cannot trust anyone that is polite all the time. It's just not right! ;)

I know that the impression of us that that we all own guns and can't wait to use them. The fact of the matter is, that unless you live in a rural country side where hunting is a way of life, there really are not that many floating around. The bad guys have them and they are pretty much the only ones that know how to use them without shooting themselves in the foot anyway. The last person in my family to own a gun was my grandfather and the was just a 22 cal. Rifle. Now I have been trained (many years ago) to know how to take care of and use an M-16 rifle and an M-60 machine gun, but, those things get very bulky under your coat. Say hello to my big friend!
