Hubby and I are out and about. We were supposed to go to Leon's so he could test-drive his new sofa. He decided, nah, he trusts my taste/judgement.
(Of course he does. I picked him; my judgement is impeccable!)

Ended up at Sammy's instead.

In addition to the second to-go order of wings/ribs, at least 1/2 of the above pictured food came home with us. Son #1 is visiting for a couple of days, so extra provisions are needed.

You eat out a lot. I wish I could do that. Jealous.

We eat out a lot because I am generally a lousy cook.

I make really good casseroles, but Hubby hates them. When his mom retired, she made nothing but casseroles. He was the last one at home, but she still prepared enough to feed all seven of her kids, so he ate leftovers for days. And days.

When we got married, he told me "No Cheerios. And no (expletive) casseroles!"

We've also been known to eat Special K for supper. I just don't share those pics. Unless there are bananas; in which case I might.

I hav't been on here in a couple days. I've been really busy with school work lately. Today alone I had three exams and a presentation. Even though they're over I still feel stressed. Luckily, next week is spring break for me now. That should give me more time to be on here.
Awesome. We've missed you.

Any plans for March Break, or just looking forward to kicking back and relaxing for the week?

Tomorrow is Operation Paint the Curio Cabinet.
With drying time between coats and waxing, it may not be completely done until Sunday. :(

Then, my elephants will get their annual bath and move into their new digs.

Twenty-some odd years down the line, I finally got the inspirational idea to order acrylic stepped cubes to vary the height of my displays. I ordered them off Amazon tonight, but delivery date is sometime between 3/22 and 3/31. So, you know, one more thing to keep me up at night.

I have an elephant collection too. I think I have about 15 of them. Several of them came from my great-grandmother.

Cool. I did not know that you collected elephants.

I have a couple hundred of them. Mind you, I've been collecting them for almost 40 years.

In a perfect world, I would have been applying the first coat of paint. Sadly, prep took more than 3 1/2 hours. Two hours of taping alone!

There is no sense in short-changing the prep work though, or you just end up with a sloppy, sub-par finish.

I am using chalk paint for the first time, so I'm a little nervous as it is. Apparently it's all the rage on Pinterest. I just bought the sealing wax to start, but I have a pretty strong hunch that the piece calls for a bit of antiquing wax as well. We shall see.

Time for a quick cup of tea, and then bed.
Later, Peeps. And by later, you know I mean noon.
