I didn't understand half of that, but welcome back Peter.
My advice - sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.
I don't think it was written to be understood. I had a moment of "clarity" when I started to write. Then, in mid-sentence, I would come up with things that sounded cool to add on to the sentence that was still being written. So, I would start adding these new ideas to the sentence, without ever missing a beat in the speed I was typing, and my mind would go blank and my typing just come to a complete dead stop because I had just forgotten the original point I was making when I had began the sentence during that moment of "clarity". So, I would have to reread it a dozen times to try to remember where I was going. Then, when I remembered, I realized the sentence no longer made any sense when the additional ideas where added. So, I would struggle to rework the sentence to fit everything in, make the original point, and yet still make sense.

By the time I was finished, I had no idea what in the world I was trying to say (up to the practical part at the end). I left it as is because I thought it sounded funny and brings out my personality. I'm still clueless as to what I was thinking and why that's in any way "clear".

Lol

OH ! Listen up, everyone! Go rent DSKNECTD. It's available on demand. I'm watching it now. It's a documentary about how technology and social media are changing human behavior and personal relationships! And the trends are not good!

Here's a screenshot of the information screen...

We have more Dunkin's than Krispy's, it was always that way. On the way to my Moms there is a big store and giant seating area. I love that Krispy gives you a free donuts as you walk up to order. Behind this store is a huge factory attached, I'm guessing that is where they manufacture donuts for the grocery stores. I've never tried them either, if I am going to eat a donut it is going to be fresh.

Krispy rapidly built here and then came the 'fat' craze and they closed about half the stores. I like them more than Dunkin however Dunkin makes superior coffee. The giant store nearing my Moms uses real coffee cups for dining in. I love them, a heavy cup out of yesteryear. My DH a few years back bought me 4. They are Mine Mine Mine.
It's not to say that they aren't popular here. The NC State Fair in Raleigh does a fortune in deep fried Krispy Kreme cheeseburgers. I think that they call that concession the "Cardiac Arrest on Wheels" spot. :joyfull:

Boy I can't remember when we had floppy's in our schools. At minimum I'd say 10 years but betting it is longer.
I remember that when something was referred to as "floppy" in school they meant that the soles of our Super Keds had separated from the top of the shoes and were flopping about when we walked. I was in the service before any semblance of a desktop computer ever existed. The computer we had in the service had a hard drive that was a huge cylinder that had a magnetic head that floated over the top of it as it spun. I think it had a weight of about 250 lbs. and the computer filled a room that was about 25' X 25'. The only thing that was floppy was if one of the tapes that recorded everything broke.

Yeah, we're behind. The computer we had when I was in elementary and middle school was a Windows ME. We had AOL dial up until 2009 when we finally got a new desktop and I got my first laptop (actually, it was dad's laptop that lived in my room.) We've since made up for it.

The only electronic device we had were little hand held AM Radio's that had the sound that was equivalent to a tortured cat.
No cats were tortured or even slightly harmed during this post.

Our severe weather season has been delayed up here, likely from the prolonged winter. We haven't really gotten much aside from a couple nights with t-storms. I assume tornado watches and warnings will start becoming more frequent sometime soon. Regardless, stay safe!

Thanks.
Seems to be heading more towards us now. Keepin' an even closer eye and we are ready to head for the bath tub in the front bathroom at a moments notice...best we can do here.

My aunt and uncle built a house in NC on the top of a mountain near Silva. Every family member, including myself have keys to the house. I stayed there for a week a few months ago... Beautiful area! Are you near that area?

You can change your name without losing your posting history.
No you can't. Or I would have done that a while ago, instead of doing what I just tried to do. I mean, I'm sure the administrators could, if you ask. But, in my case, I wanted everything associated with my account reset, not simply a name change. As I said before, I'll just have to live with it.

Yes, you CAN change your name and all your posts and likes etc will stay the same. (I know 3 members who have done so.) You have to go through Steve, it's in the help forum. Unfortunately you just created another account and someone reported you (I'm guessing) which is a violation of the rules you signed off on when becoming a member.
