We got a white Christmas!!!

I was washing dishes and looked up and saw snow through the kitchen window. My husband called the kids and we all went outside to sprinkle reindeer food in the yard. It really gave me such a magical feeling!!
It really is the perfect amount of snow at the perfect time tonight. Driving home from my gf's family dinner in the snow was actually the 1st thing to put me in the holiday mood all season.

Life is good. This is one of the few occasions I wish I drank.
A nice glass of wine with hubby in front of the fire sounds divine. Problem is, I don't like wine.
Some eggnog with a kick might be a good replacement for the wine on Christmas Eve...

Some highlights from the gifts I received:
- Driven by Donald Driver (autobiography of retired Packers WR)
- Clothes
- Couple video games
- Some teaching supplies for use in my future
- Some practical stuff (examples: pillow, lamp, water bottle, etc)
- Wall calendar for 2014
- Miscellaneous

Actually those aren't highlights, that's pretty much it. :p

Merry Christmas everybody!
We're now going to start our Christmas tradition late night procrastination of wrapping the kids present. So sleepy!
Oh my gosh, my parents used to do the same thing!!
They'd be up until 2:00/3:00 a.m. wrapping, and then we four kids would start nagging at 5:00 to get up. They would finally relent at 6:00, we'd do the stockings and tree and be done by 9:00. My dad would put the turkey in while my mom cleaned up, and they'd go down for a nap by 11:00.

I, on the other hand, shop all year, wrap everything in late November and generally coast through December.
It's certainly less exciting though.

Merry Christmas. Don't stay up too late, or Santa won't come.
