So, today we pack up and drive up to Kissimmee (about 2 1/2 hours) and we'll tour some of the Disney hotels tonight to show our friends the Christmas decorations. Hoping to take a drive through Ft.Wilderness too if they let us. It's so peaceful here this morning. Everyone is still sleeping, and the only sound I hear is the tarpon jumping out in the canal.

@Gabe1 I can sympathize with you. I finally got through to my ex-inlaws who live in Kokomo. Their part of town just got electric back and mostly have trees down and debris but everything for their house came out well for the most part. About five years ago they moved across town and I think God must have been with them on this decision. Their former house is gone. The mall and many of the places we dined out or shopped at while visiting are wrecked. It's so sad to watch the tv and recognize (for the most part) the places they filmed at. My former BIL works in the offices at Chrysler where part of the roof came off and was going to help there today. Their church, which survived, has been set up as a shelter for anyone who needs it. My MIL summed it up as, it's something you see on tv but never think it'll happen to you.

And I was just complaining about having to replace some shingles that blew off my roof and find the owners of the garbage cans that blew into my yard. (Which I did. They were from a block away. Note to self: Paint name on garbage cans/lids.)

I closed my eyes and went to a happy place for a few minutes. Thanks for the visual. Try to get to yacht/beach - the chocolate merry-go-round is amazing. I was talking to the kids this morning about how we are typically there this week - it's been the past 4 years. Last year we saw them putting up the WL tree. Such a beautiful time at WDW.

So I know this is dorky considering I'm not going to WDW until February, but last night after getting the MDE update on my phone I logged in and it let me customize our magicbands. As much as I am not sure about this whole MM+ project, I did get a bit giddy picking the colors and names. I did resist the urge to name my husband's band something ridiculous....for now.

I'm not going until January and I've already customized the bands. I'm picky about my name, and I wanted a pink band.

It's a good thing that I have a password to my dad's account because then I'll have some degree of control over the names. He would probably use his ridiculous pet names for my brother and me and then put Mother Hubbard on my mom's.

I named my band "Bob and the Sageteers".

I'm leaning towards Mr. Pricklepants.

Last week my dad asked me if I knew you could assign everyone an avatar for the Disney website. He didn't use the word avatar though. I said I did, and I had, so he asked who everyone was. I had a tough time telling him he's the cranky guy from Up. My mom thought it was hilarious.

Here's a little insight into my puppy's logic. Earlier today she was out on the back porch. The screen door was left ajar so she could come & go as she pleases. Her favorite toy, however, is too long that if she holds it sideways in her mouth, it cannot fit through the door.

Can you guess how my puppy deduced to solve this problem?

A). She turns her head a different direction in order to make the toy fit through the door.
B). She holds the toy in her mouth vertically so that it fits through the door.
C). She assumes SHE herself cannot fit inside because her toy won't.

Hint: If you picked C. you are correct.
