I usually figure about 8, depending on the size of the apple. I'll make apple crisp with the ones he bought, so it's not a total loss - I just don't know what goes through his head sometimes....

Quick mincemeat story, then I have to leave.

When we were growing up on the farm, we (by we, I mean basically my mom) canned a lot of the vegetables from the garden in glass mason jars and we lived on them all winter. One of the things she did with the green tomatoes, was a "green tomato mincemeat" which she'd use to make pies for the holidays. She also would make piccalli if there were a lot of green tomatoes, and we really enjoyed that.
One year however, she made a mincemeat pie for us without really checking the jar, and much to our surprise it was a piccalli pie, rather than mincemeat. We kids liked it better actually, but didn't have the heart to tell her that. It's just one of those family stories that lives in infamy.

It's gameday here. If you haven't seen my post in the NFL thread, then you first of all need to pay more attention to me, and second of all... I love Packers/Bears games! Unless of course we lose, then I hate everything for a week.

I decided to do some research to find out who actually posts more. If you joined relatively late in the month, I did not count that month, and I have not counted this November for any of these figures.

Average amount of posts per month:

PUSH (didn't count first August): 570.9
MOXOMUMD (didn't count April): 669.7
Nemo14 (didn't count first March): 184
Lucky (did count first August): 37.7
acishere (did not count first June): 79.1

So the real posting victim is MOXOMUMD, as she posts almost 100 more times a month than I do. Eventually you will catch up to me!

EDIT- I only included those who have posted on this page.

Counting the first month, my number is 193.6
Not counting, it's 242.0

I can't decide if being second to last is a good or bad thing. I can use this if IT ever questions me for being on here too much.
