We had kind of the opposite. 3 little kids came to the door and when I went to give the first one candy he said no that he had already been here, but the girl in the middle hadn't so just give it to her. I gave them each a handful just for being honest about it.
See....honesty pays.

Perhaps Northern kids are better than Southern kids?

This wasn't two bags because one was full....this was double dipping....I dropped some candy in one bag and she had the audacity to proceed to bring forth her second bag and ask me to fill it also. And she looked to be a high school student. I asked her who it was for and she stammered out something....so I said "oh? double dipping?" and she blushed. That killed it for me.

Perhaps it was for a sick little brother, but she should have said so as I would have dropped the rest of the contents of the bowl into his bag.
My son used to be afraid of the animatronic Halloween decorations - before HM was his favorite ride - so my daughter would bring his bag up with her and he would wave sheepishly from the street. They got a LOT of candy those years.

Sure...but you have to have someone to play the part of the little brother...which this girl lacked.

I hope you're happy. You have just started a new, evil and annoying habit of making up a truth to get extra stuff. They probably hadn't been there but figured if they say they had and asked you to give the other person candy because she hadn't been there, they would melt your otherwise BMing heart and give them more then you normally would have. They are on to you! Now I'm on to them, so the next kid that appears to be honest will get thrown off my lawn.:grumpy: BTW...this post content had nothing to do with this being page 666.

Now I feel so dumb - outsmarted by a 4 year-old...again.

I get to observe 4 year-old kindergarten this coming Thursday. I won't be outsmarted, I have this thread as my guide.

4 year olds are typically in preschool - so you are getting super-smart kindergarteners. I don't think this thread will help you.

4yo kindergarten is what they consider preschool where I'm observing at. It's just preschool with a fancy name, and I'm sure this thread is on the same playing field with their knowledge.

Ahhh - I see. I'm still pretty sure they are our intellectual superiors.

So I booted up my laptop just now, and it turns out something went wrong with the "Windows configuration file", or something like that, and now the bar at the bottom of my screen looks likes its from the 90s - same with the scroll bar on the right.
Your computer needs to go Back to the Future.
