When my friend was 3, she and her parents were in Italy and gypsies nearly took her before her mom realized what was happening and karate kicked them. Then they got out of where they were pretty darn quick.
Little girl was trying to steal my friend's wallet from her purse. Friend caught her and yelled at her. Adults came over and beat up my friend and her group and took the whole purse. I walked of a store to find them across the street all beaten up. Friend and another person had concussions. Other 3 were just had some bruises.

That's nuts.

I know you've all been waiting with baited breath...my meeting was really cool! Sometimes that which we dread the most turns out not to be dreadworthy at all.

Speaking of nuts.... (no this isn't going where you're thinking)

I don't know if I've spelled the word "squirrel" so many times in my life. I was "tutoring" (aka playing mini-teacher) for a fourth grade class, and they were working on a science project. A bunch of them chose the topic of squirrels, but most of them didn't know how to spell it. So Mr. PUSH came to the rescue.

(Okay, maybe it was going where you were thinking. I know that's probably what was on most of your minds.)

Do you not have one on Halloween then or do the people in your town give out candy on both days?
Just on the Saturday before Halloween. From 1-3 pm the town merchants pass out candy downtown and the chamber of commerce has cider and doughnuts. (Small city with four small blocks of businesses.) Then residential TorT from 3-5. This year her candy will be gone October 31st. (Which means I'll probably buy some for that day.)

We do trick-or-treating Halloween night here. Most kids start around 5, and from about 5 to 7 it's mostly little kids, then from 7 to 10 or 11 you get the "big kids".

That's how its been here too. 3-7 was the little ones, depending on when the parents get home. 6-9 was when the older kids started.

I was out all day though. I would do one half of the neighborhood with my friends from school during the day, then do my side with family friends who came for a haunted house that used to be a few blocks away.

Well, it's Friday evening and I still have a job. Somehow.

And to that, we drink.
