So do you guys & gals have red light cameras where you live? It's up to $80 for a ticket in NY. I cringe every time I see the envelope in my mailbox...ALL 4 TIMES MY HUSBAND HAS GOTTEN A TICKET IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS.

And yes - @PUSH - I definitely BMed.
I don't know about here, I think we do, but they don't ever fine us. It's probably too small of a town for them to care. The police here get money from college students by ticketing illegally parked cars on the side of the road. Because all of the side roads are either no parking or permit parking only around the college.

There are a bunch on the highway I sometimes have to take. I hate driving through there. It turns red too quickly so everyone either has to slam on their brakes or get a ticket. Its a recipe for rear end collisions.

We had them temporarily awhile back. But then a controversy exploded and it was discovered that the city had shortened the amount of time from yellow to red by (approx. 3.5 seconds). There was also an investigation about the whole right on red thing, where people were getting tickets for turning right after a complete stop at a red light (which is legal here), but could not prove they made a complete stop since they were fighting an image, not a moving video. An investigator from Knoxville had a hidden/dash cam of sorts, stopped at one of those red lights for a good few seconds, then proceeded to make a right, and even he was issued a ticket. When this hit the ceiling fan, they quickly removed light cameras. (Most) at least.

How about celebrities we've been told we resemble? (Trust me - mine wouldn't be Brad Pitt or Tom Brady).
I've been told I look like sh*t. :joyfull: There isn't any actress that I look like but I would say warrior Fiona from Shrek 4. (but I'm not green)

Our ticket letter comes with 3 still images and a link to see the video. My husband INSISTED one of them he made a full stop before a right on red but the video showed he probably didn't even take his foot off the gas.

Our town is too country for that but we do have those roadside radars with huge digital numbers that post your speed out every now and then. They're usually out by our high school because I think the cops make their money off the students' parents. (Currently there isn't busing for jr/sr class students so most drive or carpool.)

So my son discovered The Nightmare Before Christmas. He LOVES it. It's my fault because I have this incessant need to talk about Disney and decided to yammer to my kids about the Disneyland Haunted Mansion overlay - so they youtube-ed it. Anyway, it's been "This is Halloween, this is Halloween" 24/7 since Friday and I can't get the song out of my head. It's starting to get annoying.

We have those radar things too. Kids like to stop and see if you're speeding, and I typically am. Only by a couple miles, of course.

I love that song! When they play it during MNSSHP my daughter tries to walk a few paces ahead of me because I sing it to myself....and anyone else around me. :D
