Sometimes I feel like the News and Rumors section is like a mine field. One minute you are just strolling along and then BOOM! Next thing you know you're laying on the ground wondering what happened and why everything hurts.

That about sums it up. Two individuals exchanging swings. Actually it all started long before the end with those that felt that name calling and insulting labeling is necessary to reinforce their own stance on things. It just escalated, as those things tend to do until it got to an almost stalking thing. It was fun to watch, but not always fun to be part of.

People that participate in these boards really have to develop a thicker skin. There is nothing wrong with getting angry about what is being said, or even excitedly in opposition to an opinion or in agreement with it. When members take a condescending, superior stance against other people and their lifestyles I don't believe it should ever go unchallenged. However, that is what causes the friction. It is a shame that people cannot always separate themselves from the conversation and have enough confidence in their own feelings to just not let descent undermine them.

That last sentence was interesting to me. Was it a forced hiatus or a voluntary one?

As usual - things go down, posts are deleted, I miss the events as they are unfolding and I spend the bulk of the next day being confused (until my rather short attention span kicks in and I forget I was evern confused).
