When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Just watched the first episode of All-Stars. Love seeing all the returning players. Also love seeing Rob C and Boston Rob on the same tribe. They should be fun to watch together. But what a turn of events from Tina. She goes from winning to being the first voted out!

It was also fun to see the reactions when the tribes saw each other for the first time. Richard lit up as soon as he saw Rudy. When Tina and Jerri were on the same tribe Jerri said right away she knows Tina doesn't like her. And just the little comments from Sue to Rich. I just love it! It's a fun dynamic.

My dream final 3 would be Rob C, Boston Rob and Rupert. A couple I wasn't too excited to see back like Big Tom, who I really didn't care for in Africa. Then there were some that I completely forgot about like Jenna and Amber. I still can't remember really what Amber did aside from being in an alliance with Jerri. She just seems like a filler when they couldn't get others to come back.
Sue and Rich quickly become less fun.

Yeah, Amber ends up being a big fat bore.

I'm interested to hear if and how your opinions of the returning players change when you see them in a different scenario with different alliances.

My favorite player doesn't compete until season 18 (JT).

Only two games? Its not like he did something minor like beat his wife. Sneezing is disgusting and just flat out unacceptable!
I was just following a live chat from a Packers.com editor, and one question sent in was how he feels about Ray Rice's suspension. He said he questions it since Ben Roethlisberger was suspended for 4 games for something he was accused of. Rice was suspended 2 games for something caught on tape. Something doesn't add up there.

Spent some time with this guy this afternoon...

He's doin' a tile/glass mosaic in the lobby of the new Rise School of Austin that oldest DD teaches at.
He was quite impressed with the speed at which I accurately scored and broke glass and tile.
He gave us a short course which I politely listened to, and then he watched me and said "You've done this before, haven't you?" Yes I have, actually. Really cool dude.
We're goin' back tomorrow! :)

Wow! That is quite an experience. I admire him for working in those schools. They are tough. High School grad rate over a 5 year span (not 4) hit a high of 60.8. Breaks your little heart so anything to engage these kids and keep them focused along with getting teachers to stay positive is news worthy.

I've seen some of these murals scattered around Chicago. What amazes me is the Gangs tag just about anything and everything and these murals go untouched. The murals have so much detail I'd like to stop and just look at them vs spotting them from a bus or taxi. Unfortunately they generally are not in areas you go walking though or linger.

Attendance for a glorified Packers practice is 67,336. That's a lot of people! They actually sold out all the seats. (just over 80,000). And it's a practice!

DD and I stopped in Bourbonnais to see where the Bears are doing training camp today. Oh my goodness is it pretty. Olivet Nazarene University is a Catholic University and what cracked me up was the entire campus had that black ornamental 6 ft fence around the campus. When we pulled into where we thought we should we were met by a guard. Missed the sign. But in Central Illinois hospitality he let me in to turn around.

Oh my, that's a beautiful picture; the Keys are gorgeous. Years ago, I worked for a hotel company, and one of my bosses had a spectacular mansion (that he used about 2 months out of the year . . . ) in Islamorada.

Back then, while I was vacationing at one of our Florida hotels, he had suggested that I visit the Florida Keys. He offered me his house (he was heading overseas at the time), and he arranged for his caretaker to let me in. (The place was security alarmed to the nines.) The caretaker was a really funny guy, and he gave me a tour up and down the FL Keys. (He lived on a boat down there; yup, that was his "home"! Can you imagine? :) )

The Keys had the most stunning sunrises and sunsets; it was paradise down there.

Ha! Yes—the "announcements" of the Blue LIght Specials—this is so funny; reminds me of when my brother worked for them. Years ago, my eldest brother worked for K-Mart (he had just finished his tour of duty with the Marines, and while sorting out what he wanted to do in life, he took the job to make a few bucks). He lasted two weeks as a cashier and quit; he had no patience dealing with the public.

At that time, the local store manager was testing out a few items, unrelated to their usual stock. They brought in a small shipment of cans of vegetables, fruits, and other non-perishables to see how they'd sell.

One night, on the Blue Light Special, they put the canned peas on sale. So, this customer brings over 6 cans of beans, and my brother rang up the regular price. The man argued that they were on sale. My brother said no, that only the peas were on sale. The customer points to the cans and says, "beans"! My brother then went over to the display, brought back the actual sign that said PEAS were on sale, showed it to the guy, while spelling aloud, "P-E-A-S" ! The guy then said, "Right! BEANS!" and kept insisting that beans were on sale!

The manager was called over, and the man grumpily left the store—without his beans. My brother quit at the end of the shift; he couldn't take it anymore! :hilarious:

Ha! I get that. I had to leave the Airline I worked for after a winter of blizzards and having to stay with kids overnight for 4 nights in the airport hotel 'cause they were stranded unaccompanied in Chicago. I was so done with people yelling at me cause their flights were cancelled and we could not even see half the wheels on the snow covered airplanes. Yeah yelling at me was going to make the snow go away.

My Sis between College Graduation and the start of Law School in the fall took a job at McDonalds. She lasted 4 hour of her 6 hour shift.
