My dad's phone and my phone cost less than $25 a month. My mom's cost about $30 per month. Landline is bundled with cable and internet, so it's around $25 per month. That's less than we would pay for all of us to get cell phones. My dad hates cell phones and only has one because my mom and I insist. There's no way he's paying for a contract plan. I agree with him that cell phones are perhaps the biggest rip off ever.

I hate my phone and do not want to be tied to it for all phone calls. It barely makes phone calls. It also remains it my room and sometimes I have to call it because I haven't looked at it in days. So I prefer a landline, which I can answer anywhere in the house.

I don't think I've ever heard that said by someone of your age demographic. Until my kids went away to school I think I could carry it in my pocket for days without a peep except during swim seasons. I'd get a text when they were 20 minutes to be picked up. My DS 26 had a cell since he was 15, going into high school. My DD had one she took to school in 4th grade. She was in a full leg cast, the disability bus picked her up in a wheelchair and the bus broke down one day and they didn't call the school or me and she was trapped for over an hour. A friend saw her sitting on the bus on the side of the road and called me. I drove and pulled her off the bus (in snow) and the school staff met me at the school. I was livid. After school she got to pick out her very first phone. It was against school board policy and I as a member of the board should have honored that but I didn't care. We rewrote the policy.

My DH and I are on the same plan and we don't come close to using our data unlike my kids. My DD went to bed tonight 'cause her phone was almost dead and her charger is in her bed.

At least Walt's happy watching you exercise, and he enjoys the "floor show". ;) :joyfull:

If I put on an exercise DVD and follow along, my dog bolts out of the room! :( Watching me move around erratically, doing really bad dance steps, he thinks exercise is a form of possession from evil spirits! Gotta admit that my exercise moves never look quite as good as the person on the DVD. Plus, the livingroom is tiny, and sometimes I bump into things. Guess I don't exactly look graceful knocking over the lamps, and apparently, my own dog is mortified, by being in my presence!:eek:

I was watching this scenario in my mind. Too funny.

I was always taught to NEVER have two different anti-virus programs on the same computer. Maybe @englanddg can chime in on this?

I think it's because we are too connected to our belongings and get side tracked. Hired help ALWAYS clean faster then the owner of the property.
.

Yeah, I know. It came with Norton and she went with McAfee and Norton does not have any intention of uninstalling.
Many a hour spent

I don't have lots of 'stuff' around my house any longer. I use to. Got sick of cleaning around it. I have few flat spots in my house. Still by the time I clean several bathrooms, dust livingroom, familyroom, 4 bedrooms, vacuum, wash the floors, it ain't a happen'n in 4 hours.

I'm stingy

One of my friends can't even afford her cell phone plan. They didn't pay it at all last month and she can't get in touch with anyone. She's going to have to switch to pay as you go. And the cancellation and late fees are going to cost her even more. If I don't pay my phone I lose whatever money is on it, but nothing more.

But try and pull up WDWMagic on the before cell phones.

We had a Nokia, likely in a drawer somewhere. It will likely still boot up but the days of analog are long gone.
I wonder what the battery life would have been on Nokia if it could access the internet and actually had software.
I've only had this iPhone a short time but don't see myself going back to the days long ago of phone/text and out it be like going back to AOL dial up.

Dude, you need to hurry up and take that Teen Test thingy.
Six tweets in 5 months? I'll bet you're a teen.
I think I took that a few days ago and got the old grandma saying I'm definitely NOT a teen. I don't have Instagram, Tumblr, don't know what EDM is, etc. I guess I'm being forced to skip to my 70s. I'll catch you on the flip side, and you better not be on my lawn!

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

I Googled EDM. Just as lost as I was 5 mins. ago.

EDM
abbreviation for "Electronic Dance Music"

- includes trance, house, techno, breakbeat, gabber, hardcore, and much, much more.
"I like EDM in general-- not just trance."

We had pay as you go phones back when my kids were young. An ATT family plan with 10G data and 4 phone lines is about $160 so about $40 each...with my kids away at school it would have cost that anyhow with phone calls and unlimited texting. Plans are definitely coming down in data price. Now those phones, they can be pricey. My kids iPhones are higher end then mine. I have to say I do love the photo's it takes and having that ability has come in handy.
