I personally know three people who still use the AOL interface. (and NO...I'm NOT one of them)

I do however still have an AOL email account that I think I checked about a year ago...FULL of SPAM.

I have an AOL email as well. I use it when I need to use an email for a (legitimate) website I don't purchase from often. Then the spam skyrockets.

Time for a new doctors office. Sadly if Doc's are disinterested in the professionalism of their front-line employees and have a lack of empathy for a patients concern and stress a better practice is likely out there.

My husband was once having one of his stomach episodes (this was one of the first ones) and was in severe pain, dehydrated and throwing up. We called his gastro. The receptionist took a message and said the doctor would call back. 4 hours later, contemplating going to the ER, we called again. The woman was nasty, said she already took a message, he was extremely busy and would call when he had a break. I called hubby's urologist for advice since he's awesome and has been hubby's doctor since the cancer in his 20's, and he said to go to the ER and he would have his friend, a gastro doctor, meet us at the hospital. The urologist (who looks like Tony Soprano) was at the ER when we got there and started (nicely) directing traffic and getting hubby looked at. When I told my mom what happened, she called her friend who is VERY friendly with the gastro doctor to see what was going on in that office. The friend replied that he WASN'T EVEN THERE - his family was on vacation in Montauk. He was furious when he returned and heard the story. He called to speak with me to apologize for his staff and I politely told him I appreciated the call, and thanked him for being so concerned, but explained that we would no longer be returning to his office.

When do you leave for vacation? You could draft a hard copy letter and overnight it (have them sign for it) and outline what you've said to us, be gone, wait 4 weeks etc and ask that Doc either calls you given the circumstances or give you an appointment since you are aware they have access to the results already and if they can't do that turn the info over to your primary doctor for communication of the information. Couldn't hurt.
I called them today. They said that they have the results and it's not in their system yet. So I said I wanted a follow up appointment. I asked for tomorrow. They said that they could only get me in on Thursday. So I said, look, I'm going on vacation next week, I don't want to wait two weeks for the results, and I can't come in at all this week, so I either want an appointment tomorrow or to go over the results over the phone. Suddenly they could squeeze me in tomorrow. :banghead:

Wow! Obviously on the list of questions for when he called in for his messages. Call or not he had a system with his staff just got caught. Glad ya found a better one.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Universal healthcare = a lot less options.

Up here, when choosing a physician, you don't interview the doctor - he/she interviews you! There is no such thing as doctor-shopping. Also, you can't just phone up a specialist and make an appointment. You must have a referral from your GP, assuming of course, you actually have one.

But hey - it's free!

...It's pretty rough, but kudos for trying to convey such an awesome and amazing movie into only one head piece.

I forgot to mention that Sharknado is on Netflix and Sharknado 2 (which I think is portrayed above, I hope that headpiece doesn't include spoilers!) premieres in just TWO DAYS!

In honor of such a monumentous event, I'm jumping the shark (ehh, ehh?) on the weekend theme and switching into a Sharknado avatar.
