My aunt, the missionary, is spending the night up at the hospital tonight, so my other aunt can get some rest.
She and I are texting every few minutes.

She's very concerned with the lapses between breaths, and asked when she should be calling her sister to come back up.

I suggested she ask the nurse, but to err on the side of caution, as Aunt Shirley has already said that she would never forgive herself if she wasn't there when he passed.

The nurse has confirmed that it's time to call in the rest of the family.

Just think, by tomorrow morning, Uncle Paul will be in Paradise.

A peaceful passing is a blessing.

I don't know why, but this post just reminded me of something. In the first episode of season 6 of Survivor they said the Amazon was home to a bunch of exotic wildlife, and they listed the tapir as an example. I guess we're going to have a lot of Brazilian tour groups at Tapir World.

Talking to humans at parties and dogs licking my food were my two places where I lost points. I also probably lost a bit with the face licking. I don't mind dogs licking my face, but I don't let them "french kiss" me as the quiz said.

I'm pretty much right there with ya and I don't know if anyone is more passionate about dogs than I am, maybe equal but not likely a bigger fan than me.

Sometimes the critters are more interesting than the humans at some parties I attend so sometimes the critters win. I don't mind a lick just not a bath, french well that is just deranged. And for the record, I don't want a cat, dog or a human licking my food.

Wine and similar is also a good antiseptic.
