The trick to surviving is to fast forward through every cringe worthy scene. This also makes Episodes 1-3 a combined 45 minutes long.

Wow.. I dont know why this reminds me of the Transformers movie.. where they want to call the pentagon for some Air support and they have to go thru an Indian call center guy.

Oh there are plenty of surprises for the CPs. The best ones are the ones that set sail on the cruise ships. Oy plenty more from the world though.

I'm really hating these enforced automated WHM/cPanel installs.

Spoiler: Technical stuff rant ahead.

While they are very useful and easy to manage... they are a PAIN IN THE BUTT to fix if they go wrong.

Today there was an enforced update from MYSQL (database program) from 5.1 to 5.5 from a few months ago.. and decided to make the move finally (for security reasons)
and the "automated" update failed disastrously in one of the servers I managed.
The worst?
NOONE HAD A SINGLE IDEA WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS (looked everywhere)
Had to open a personal cPanel ticket to resolve it.
And It ends that.. somehow.. MYSQL had created 3 config files.. and the 2 default ones were not being used.. and the third was severely malformed.
So they fixed that.. and the installation finally advanced.. then had to recompile PHP for the new MySQL version... (which had failed spectacularly as well with the failed update of MySQL)

Now all is well, but those 6 hours of downtime (and sleeping at 6:00 am after 22 hours of being awake) gave me a big hit D:

And thats all the adventure I had of yesterday and today.
