Anyway, finally got my suit..
but I had more issues there.

I had my mother accompany me to give her OK on the visuals.(she also wanted the excuse to go shopping to the store lol).
Anyway, they gave me the new "fixed" suit and I proceeded to test it. ( A lot of people just pick up the suit and leave, not re-testing it.. .which is a big mistake) because: The jacket of the suit was NOT FITTING WELL.
(Note that I tested the full set before buying it and send it to get modified for my size.)

But when I tested it fully, I noticed I could not raise my hands.. they claimed they would never touch the jacket main body.. only touched up the cuff links area of the jacket.. and I said BS. the jacket was too short for the arms as well.
I say BS because the thing had something near the armpit seams that made it too tight!
I am the one testing the suit and it felt NOTHING like the original one I tested a week ago.

My mother took the side of the tailor and insisted that I was mistaken.. I had to stand my ground. I kept repeating that I was not mistaken.. the feel of the modified jacked was completely different from what I had tested( I could no longer raise my arms!)
After a few 10 or 15 minutes of back and fort and insisting that the Jacked was different...
The original vendor who sold me the first jacked ( and a secondary vendor) suggested and agreed to test a normal unmodified jacket with the same size.. and go figure.. it did fit perfectly and I could raise the arms fully. The flaw was in the modified jacket.

Once everyone seen how I could raise my hands perfectly fine with the unmodified jacket and couldn't even lift the arms above my chest with the unmodified one; Mother finally took my side.
The tailor still tried to defend her work, claiming she didn't touch anything else than the cufflink area of the jacket suit.

So something of these two happened:
  • she(the tailor) DID change and modify the jacket too much.
  • someone changed the perfectly fine jacket to a jacket with fabrication flaws(the one they were trying to shove to me).
Anyway, I took the new unmodified jacket and everything is as well.

You wonder why I am riled about this.. There is a reason:
As soon you leave the store with the formal suit.. the store no longer accepts refunds or changes. So if you accepted a damaged suit or an altered suit without testing it.. you're on your own!

Once its out, You cannot complain and any changes will be charged with full cost ( a few hundreds for sure).
So, the pressure by the tailor, to shove the flawed jacket as fast she could, was very suspicious. Thanks god the original vendor was not like that and suggested to try another jacket.

and that is the adventure of today!

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

Good on you for standing your ground!

September is nice.
When the kids were younger, we used to keep them out of school for the first partial week of class, and traditionally vacationed the week before and week after Labour Day. It was like night and day.

Now that we don't take Beavis and Butthead, we go in either October or November.

Case in point, this year. 11/1 - 11/11. Still hoping to meet up with a fellow Sageteer.

nice photo.. from the monorail right?

Thanks, I've always loved the monorail view of the MK. One year it was so cool to see the Christmas Parade actually on Christmas morning.

I took that picture though 'cause there was an active thread then about the condition of the sidewalks. If you look down at them you will notice how many patches there are and how many different colors. It reminds me of the City of Chicago patch jobs on their streets.

I misread as FROG.
which instanty reminded me something very funny 2 days ago after I returned from seeing how to train your dragon.
my mother was opening our front door, then I noticed the biggest frog I've ever seen in my whole life.. mother dearest was too scared to see and I just opened the door quickly for her.. then she looked at it.
It was.. id wager.... around 3/4 of the size of a soccer ball.

Hmm...not drinking your water. :cautious:
