This might just be better than Earl's with its pulled turkey vs Earls luncheon meat

The reason the store in my area got a renovation is that they moved up a volume level. It seems those are the stores Disney is focusing on.

Short sighted. If you have a bad store, with little merchandise in one of the largest malls in the states right by a convention center, you would think Disney could project the increased profits. This store just went downhill when it was sold and then reacquired by Disney and left to stagnate. Silly people.

One of the two stores in DTChicago is beautiful and always packed with a winding queue for checkout. The tiny store in DTChicago is clean but so small it has little to offer, often without guests in it. Sometimes Disney isn't so bright.

Maybe there is more to it than we know. To me, yes, the store in one of The largest malls in the US should have a quality store. But there could be more to it than that. For instance, being in a large mall may not necessarily mean a lot of foot traffic or business. Or their main focus could be in other markets where they see more potential and opportunity to invest there. There could be a ton of reasons why they make these decisions. But I am not an insider so don't know their decision making on this.

Thanks for all the congrats to my mom and well wishes form my dad. As for his ankle, I think he is okay. I just woke up about 20 minutes ago and haven't really seen him yet today except through a window.

And I'm just poking in until my brother gets out of the shower, so I probably won't be on long. My aunts are arriving around 10am CST. So who knows how much I'll be able to be on from. The party is only from 1pm to 3pm, but we could have 100+ people here over that time period. It'll be weird seeing all my former teachers and high school staff members at my house. o_O
I ran into some of my old high school teachers at a bar who clearly had a bit too much to drink. It's really weird seeing them in social settings.

Ha, you are very kind to Disney for their decisions. Woodfield has 27 million patrons a year visiting the mall, that is a lot of feet per year they are blowing off. Apple in the same mall is always packed but then again they know how to spend money to make money.

They treat my wife well. That may have something to with why I would give the disney store the benefit of the doubt. :)

Me, not so much. ;)
After having worked for TDS for over 4 years (1+ as a Lead Mgr.), some of the Company decisions and product fiascoes I, and my fellow CMs, witnessed were simply mind-boggling.
I loves me some Disney, and always will, but, what an enlightening experience that was... :cyclops:

Good morning! Mom's still asleep so I'm trying to catch up here. @PUSH - I hope your dad's ankle is doing better today, and that your mom has an awesome well-deserved weekend full of fun and family. We're doing a big party here tomorrow for belated Mother's Day, so of course it's pouring out right now.
((Hugs)) to @JenniferS . I've been thinking about my dad a lot too this week, and how he would have had been so sad to see my mom the way she is so helpless now.

Anyway, I hear her stirring, so I guess it's time to get busy. We're attempting to shower her today - wish me luck!

Good luck, Nemo! ;)
Hope all went well, and y'all are havin' a great day! :)

I'm sure it'll be an awesome weekend that your mother will always cherish! :)
