I don't even allow myself to get dragged into it. I'd rather stay home. I also would only be able to go in the summer because that's when my allergies are minimal, and I'm not sleeping outside, at least in MD, where it's 85 degrees and humid at night in the summer. My friends tried to drag me into it. I was like,

I don't even get what's so fun about it.
You can't judge unless you try it!

And I will never try it. But if you have fun, hey, go for it. Just to be clear, I don't mind day trips out in nature; it's just when the sun goes down, I'd like to be away from all of that. I was going to go on a hiking trip earlier this spring, but I went to the doctor for the ankle (that I sprained in January in WDW. That is still swollen.:banghead:) she said absolutely not.

Sitting around the campfire with minimal people was nice in the fall. Some nature noises when sleeping was relaxing. If it was hot out though it would have stunk.

Yeah, I can't do it in the fall. I'm allergic to ragweed and mold, both of which are out in fall. I would come back really sick, even with allergy meds. Summer is the only time I could do it and...no.

Even though it ain't a Grizzly, I'll take #6 over it ANY day...! :D ;) :)
I've never seen a bear in real life outside of a zoo. We don't have them around here - they're up in northern Wisconsin more. Around here we have your common deer, rabbits, squirrels, skunks, coyotes, etc. A few years back we had a wild cougar (I don't think it was that, but I can't remember what type of wild cat it was) or something roaming around, my English teacher said she saw it while riding her bike. Not sure whatever happened to that.

I went to this small college in North Jersey in the middle of the woods my freshmen year. I was hanging out in a friend's dorm on the 1st floor and we opened the blinds at one point and saw a bear standing 5 feet from the window. We closed the blinds again and decided against going to late night dining.

We have all of those around here except the Cougar (although, I think there are some in west Texas), as far as I know. Used to have lots of Bobcats down on the farm years ago (no, not the Goldthwait kind - although, there is actually a Goldthwait, Texas :D ;)). :)

Oh yeah, well I once opened my blind to find a robin standing in my front yard. It was a fairly good sized one, too!!
