All this talk of pizza, my daughter doesn't get to enjoy that tomatoey square affectionately known as "school pizza". They get it delivered every week from..........Dominos.​

I can only confirm that the Dwarf Mountain is almost AL DENTE.. no more crunchyness.. will be soft soon.

Today is free biscuit day at Popeyes.

We have no popeye's here
Speaking of Popeye's.. I tried them last time I was at houston.. I was not impressed, but the biscuits definitively were delicious!

Speaking of Popeye's.. I tried them last time I was at houston.. I was not impressed, but the biscuits definitively were delicious!

Our Popeye's closed.

It was ingeniously located 50m away from KFC, and while the quality of the chicken was significantly better than the Colonel's, it just took so long to get your order.

But those biscuits ... oh baby. Warm biscuits, melted butter, and a little bit of honey ... Heaven.
We always ordered an extra half dozen.

Cheddar Bay biscuits are lovely too, but totally different.
Savoury vs. Sweet. Thankfully, there is room in my palette for both.

So hubby is being admitted so they can keep an eye on him. This is good. He's very weak and in pain and it's not good for the kids to see him like this.

I had a salad of tomato, avocado, cucumber, tuna (canned, not ahi - which would have made it MUCH better) and crunchy salad topper thingies. What - no lettuce?! Yeah that's right. I was halfway through shredding it when I realized it was no longer edible. YUCK.

Oh happy day!!! Our health insurance lists "ambulance service" as a fully covered expense. Was sweatin' that one a little bit.

I've had that happen before. Yuck indeed! Worse is a bag of lettuce/greens mix and noticing gross water stuff at the bottom of the bag... after you've eaten it.
