Mhmm. Sí. Y yo he tenido 6 años de español y yo no soy fluente ahora. Y con un año de español, puedo decir con certidumbre que eres fluente. Mhmm.

You should know this frase:

Por favor, manténganse alejado de las puertas.
Tres anos aqui.

I can read Spanish and get the gist of what is being discussed. I may miss a few words....listening to it being spoken around here is a totally different matter...I am completely lost....I'm not even sure if they are speaking Spanish!

Haha, nice try. With six years of Spanish I am not fluent. So I'm sure that with only a year, you're fluent. (con means with in Spanish. If it meant something bad, the Spanish would be cursing all of the time).

What about the last part?

Con in French means your behind, but the three letter bad word for it. But it's not said as a bad word in France for some reason. It's just used for "idiot" pretty much. Did you know Dinner for Schmucks actually comes from a French movie called Dîner de Con?

And that last part means "Coconuts are round." Duh. Why else would they say it on the monorails?

That's the Argentininian accent. It throws us all. Some of the other South American accents are difficult as well. Just keep listening, especially when you go to Disney and are listening to instructions in Spanish. Words I picked up from listening in WDW and DL:

Nave espacial- space ship
tren- train
mantener- stay, maintain
pequeñitos- little ones
cuidarse- to be careful
flash- camera flash
atracción- I think you can figure that one out
vehículo- ditto
fuegos artificiales- fireworks
cohete- rocket

Estimados juespedes,
Por su seguridad, una vez abordo por favor permanezcan sentados y mantengan sus manos, brazos, pies y piernas dentro del elevador en todo momento y por favor, vean a sus niños. Gracias.

I miss this. I can hear the narration now.

Oh where, oh where
Has our little BOB gone?
Oh where, oh where can he be?
With his pants cut short
And his hair cut long
Oh where, oh where can he be?
I think he went down
To the building site
To see what he could see
And in his mouth
Was a globe so big
I wonder what could it be
^Is this a real song, or did you make it up?

Don't be, professor. He is Bob indeed!

I feel stupid for not saying anything now. :(

My first connection was the join date and the date Bob last posted. But I thought "Eh, no real proof."

Then he posted in the Survivor thread and I'm like "Eh, a lot of people watch this show."

Then I went a little while without noticing anything, but then tonight he tagged me in the MLB thread about stealing my idea. And I'm like "how does this guy know about a NFL thread that's been dead for over a month?"

All of that on top of the sarcasm, but half of the people here are sarcastic.
