It's 91 degrees here right now. I went to the store earlier (yes, in TSSFF, but, no beer run yet - had to get a quart of oil for Lilly Dimples) when it was only 88. My car was parked in the dead end in the direct sun. felt like opening an oven door when I opened the car door. Had to let it dissipate for a bit before I got in. Got burned by the steering wheel, the seat belt buckle, the shifter, and, finally, the change I had sitting in the open tray of the console. Ouch. Some kids a coupla' blocks away had a lemon-aid stand out and were sitting under the table for shade. Why they just didn't move the thing under one of the many trees near them, I have not a clue. Some sort of pathetic marketing ploy, maybe...? 
Anyway, it's that time of year again and only gonna' get hotter.

We have just come through 5 days of straight rain.
Sun is out today, but it is crazy windy and quite cool.

No braggin', here. I think I'm just tryin' to mentally psych myself up and prepare for when it's goin' to be between 104 and 108 again for several days straight along with umpteen consecutive days of bein' over 100. We are still in a severe drought down here. I'll gladly trade ya' those 5 days of straight rain for 5 days of sunny 91 degree days.
Thankfully, since we're all the same person, that should be a snap...!
