time to get yourself into a blanket taco?Nap time was a bust.
Head-ache and cold feet prevented me from falling asleep.
Don't feel too bad for me though.
I still haven't bothered to put on socks or take an Advil yet.
funny, from snow.. to being toasted by the sun.OK, time for a beer run...!!!
And yes, it will be in shorts, a t-shirt, and flip flops...it was 91 here today, and is still 87 right now.
Summer could be a bit...
Craig is just so unconventional. Geoff and Secretariat are genius. His monologues are the best, and his Tweets and Emails segment is great, too. He can take the most awkward interview and make it funny and interesting. When he gets talkative guests, it's just the best. The Late Late Show is perfect for him, too, because a lot of his comedy revolves around making fun of how awful it is to be there. To sum it up, his entire show is perfect.
Craig and Ellen have to be my two favorite comedic talk show hosts. But they are very, very different, obviously.
I would like to see Ellen get a late night show. Give her a bit more freedom with her jokes and save her knees from dancing for a while.
in before they say some narnia joke (related to the stroll-thru closet)Looks more like a stroll-through closet, to me...!
Reminds me, we had a client years ago (although, they weren't the first and won't be the last to request things like this) where we designed almost half of the massive upper floor as a closet for her. She was the wife of a retired Army General and we only new her as "Sweetie". NO JOKE.
I can watch late night tv though...Ellen's built such a reputation with daytime talk show comedy, that I don't know if she would work in late night. I mean, I'm sure she would because she's Ellen, but I don't think her success would be nearly as much. It'd be interesting to see her in late night, but I wouldn't want her to give up her daytime show.
I'm going to make pizza tomorrow.. does that make you a bit better? for me it willI just texted my friend I had pizza from this one local joint tonight, he said he misses it (he moved to Wyoming), and I said I feel fat now, but it's worth it. Then 3 seconds later I read this.
These transformations are amazing and outright scary.Well alright, alright, alright
I need to ask my inner "other me". Because I had NO IDEA.Well, we are all one person, so I knew that.
I catch Ellen either right after class or on YouTube clips. Where I live I get Wisconsin and Iowa stations, and Ellen airs in two different time slots between the two slate, so I can catch one half on the Wisconsin station and the other on the Iowa station. I don't watch Ellen daily, though.I can watch late night tv though...
A compactor dont you mean?We are a collector.
You forgot Julia Roberts and Jodie Foster.Jenn is down to earth, Angelina can be out there at times. Jenn is like Sandra Bullock, you just have to love her. Actually, Jenn and Sandy must have found the fountain of youth together. Jenn: 45, Sandy: 50. What?
Oh look! Is that a lamppost?in before they say some narnia joke (related to the stroll-thru closet)
Chelsea Handler apparently was successful doing late night on cable and is 10 times worse than Joan Rivers. So I'd like to see Ellen get a chance as the woman of late night now that Handler is leaving. I would actually enjoy watching her.I absolutely love Ellen. I really wonder if the powers to be would put Ellen in late night. Dear old loud mouth Joan Rivers seemed to put an end to women in good late night slots.
I never liked Jay Leno. Meaning as a comedian, not a person. Same for David Letterman. Letterman is just too bland for me. Jimmy Fallon is decent, and Jimmy Kimmel is a step above Leno and Letterman, but not quite to Fallon. I haven't really seen Seth Meyers enough to judge him. I'm interested to see the non-characterized Stephen Colbert. I think he'll be good. Craig tops all, though.
- Leno was just too bland for my taste. Plus I was a huge Conan fan when he was on Late Night so that situation soured me on Leno. Never watched him again.
- Conan lost a lot between moving to an earlier time and losing a lot of his bits to the NBC lawyers. He is at his best when things go wrong or when set loose on a location. Very quick on his feet with jokes in those situations.
- Fallon is good for creating fun bits and games. It makes his show feel welcoming. His interviews are terrible though.
- Craig just can do everything. His monologues are hilarious, different, and usually tell a great story. He can kill time like no one else. And can really keep a conversation going.
- Letterman was great for snark, but has grown disinterested as time has gone on. I'm not surprised he is retiring.
- Colbert has proven to be a master of satire. He is like a modern day Mark Twain who works in live action. I'm interested to see what he will bring to the Late Show.
I think he would be doing mostly Musical than comical showsYou know who I'd love to see in a comedic talk show setting? Neil Patrick Harris. I think his personality would be great for one.
If only he wasn't on Broadway he'd have time for it now that HIMYM is over. I think incorporating musical segments into a late night show could be brilliant if done right, and I think NPH could pull it off. It wouldn't be able to be a nightly segment, but it'd be interesting to see. I see NPH playing more of a daytime role, though.I think he would be doing mostly Musical than comical shows
